50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40I am as relaxed as a spaghetti noodle. Wow! I can’t believe how good it feels not to have to do anything. Joe and I have no agenda except to visit every airport within 50 miles. Lol! Every time we leave the condo to go riding around we seem to happen to pass by an airport that he needs to run inside and visit. Good grief, there seem to be a lot of airports around here! I don’t mind because I like looking around at different parts of the country and wondering what the people who live there are like.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40 It has fascinated me since I was a young child to think about all of the people who live in an area that I am traveling through. I will start to make up stories about their lives and where they work. I wonder if they have children or pets and I look for signs like toys outside. Please tell me that I am not the only person who does this. Anyway, today I am looking forward to having lunch with a lady that I have met through the blog. She happens to be in this area as well, so we are meeting for lunch and getting to know each other better. How cool is that??? It is funny because when you are friends on facebook, you see them and snippets of their lives. You end up feeling like you know the person even though you have never met. Kind of like me looking in the windows of the houses that I pass by and wondering about their lives. Facebook is just a more in-depth version; it allows a longer look inside. Anyway, I hope to get a good picture of us to put on the blog Monday so that you can meet her too.50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40 Can you believe that I am wearing black on black? If you live in an area of the country that has colder temperatures, then you need to have several turtleneck tops. I have a black turtleneck, a cream one, a light gray one, and a burgundy one. Those will pretty much cover all of the different needs that I will have. I have a navy mock-turtleneck, but it is a sweater and is short-sleeved. So, I have been watching the winter sales trying to find one that I like. A turtleneck is great for layering and can be worn by itself also. The turtleneck is a very versatile clothing item.

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40This is how I make a black on black outfit fit my personality. I added a beautiful leopard print scarf that I bought in the fall. I love this huge oversized scarf, and it makes a statement. It now says, “Tania approved outfit!” Lol! I even laughed at myself as I was typing that. Lol! But tell me, doesn’t this look like something that I would wear?

50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40There is not much need to add a lot of jewelry, but I did add the Tessie earrings which are a favorite of mine. I love the tassels, and I even bought this for my DIL for Christmas because she admired them. I might have misplaced the gift for her, but I am sure that it will show up before long. Lol! I also added the leopard print cuff called the Rochelle. This is a 7.25 cuff, and it is not adjustable. To look at the Plunder jewelry or to place an order click here and pick a party with my name in the dropdown menu. 50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40When it is cold outside, you want a down filled or puffer vest to keep the heat in your core area. I needed the heat, but I also want to look stylish. I think that adding the scarf to the vest achieved my goal. I bought my puffer vest at Old Navy but I have seen where they have had them on sale, and they are completely sold out online. You might find one at your local store or choose one of these instead.
50 IS NOT OLD | HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH | FASHION OVER 40I slipped on a pair of frayed hem jeans and a pair of wedge heeled black ankle boots and headed out the door. I was warm, comfortable, and plenty stylish just in case I ran into someone I knew. Isn’t it funny how we want to be dressed to the nines if we meet someone we know, but we don’t give a flip to go out if we know that no one will recognize us? Lol!

Girl, I couldn’t believe what you were saying, but YES, when I see old dilapidated houses, going down the road, I wonder what size family lived there and what kind of life they had. All the thoughts come to my head. Lol
My poor husband has to listen to me gabbing about it, and he’ll say “I don’t know, maybe” blah, blah, blah…just humoring me! Lol ?

My hubby and I took our daughter to North Myrtle every summer until she grew up. Have you shopped the outlet stores? You look so pretty in everything you model. I admire your perseverance to create the lifestyle you desire. You motivate me to take a few extra minutes to flat iron my hair or put earrings in my ears!! Thank you for being there for us. Your honesty is refreshing and I look forward to each post.

I love that outfit! So chic, Tania! And how neat that you get to meet a blog friend! Tell me how you find so many fitted skinny jean styles that fit you perfectly? Mine always either bag in the crotch, waist or they are too long to wear w heels or boots?
