HOW TO MAKE A PUFFER VEST STYLISH
I am as relaxed as a spaghetti noodle. Wow! I can’t believe how good it feels not to have to do anything. Joe and I have no agenda except to visit every airport within 50 miles. Lol! Every time we leave the condo to go riding around we seem to happen to pass by an airport that he needs to run inside and visit. Good grief, there seem to be a lot of airports around here! I don’t mind because I like looking around at different parts of the country and wondering what the people who live there are like.
It has fascinated me since I was a young child to think about all of the people who live in an area that I am traveling through. I will start to make up stories about their lives and where they work. I wonder if they have children or pets and I look for signs like toys outside. Please tell me that I am not the only person who does this. Anyway, today I am looking forward to having lunch with a lady that I have met through the blog. She happens to be in this area as well, so we are meeting for lunch and getting to know each other better. How cool is that??? It is funny because when you are friends on facebook, you see them and snippets of their lives. You end up feeling like you know the person even though you have never met. Kind of like me looking in the windows of the houses that I pass by and wondering about their lives. Facebook is just a more in-depth version; it allows a longer look inside. Anyway, I hope to get a good picture of us to put on the blog Monday so that you can meet her too.
Can you believe that I am wearing black on black? If you live in an area of the country that has colder temperatures, then you need to have several turtleneck tops. I have a black turtleneck, a cream one, a light gray one, and a burgundy one. Those will pretty much cover all of the different needs that I will have. I have a navy mock-turtleneck, but it is a sweater and is short-sleeved. So, I have been watching the winter sales trying to find one that I like. A turtleneck is great for layering and can be worn by itself also. The turtleneck is a very versatile clothing item.

Girl, I couldn’t believe what you were saying, but YES, when I see old dilapidated houses, going down the road, I wonder what size family lived there and what kind of life they had. All the thoughts come to my head. Lol
My poor husband has to listen to me gabbing about it, and he’ll say “I don’t know, maybe” blah, blah, blah…just humoring me! Lol ?
I love this outfit. I wear a lot of black on black. I basically wear mostly black. I too, use leopard scarves to add interest. You are one stylish woman!
I like the black on black with the scarf making it all pop! Black on black can be very stunning!
My hubby and I took our daughter to North Myrtle every summer until she grew up. Have you shopped the outlet stores? You look so pretty in everything you model. I admire your perseverance to create the lifestyle you desire. You motivate me to take a few extra minutes to flat iron my hair or put earrings in my ears!! Thank you for being there for us. Your honesty is refreshing and I look forward to each post.
I love that outfit! So chic, Tania! And how neat that you get to meet a blog friend! Tell me how you find so many fitted skinny jean styles that fit you perfectly? Mine always either bag in the crotch, waist or they are too long to wear w heels or boots?
Hi Tania,
I’m a brand-new follower and blog reader so just getting to know you but I wanted you to know that I was very attracted to the fashion that you wear and I have a whole Pinterest page devoted to all of your clothing! My goal is to lose more weight and get to where I can wear the nice clothes that you wear I’m almost there have lost 15 lbs! Wow that was a lot of rhyming words haha! My husband’s name is Joe as well so we have that in common. I do believe you are younger than me as the fifty is not old title. I am 61 as of August but do not feel even close to that. maybe I’m too old for your website but love the clothing and love reading your blogs you have a personality and wit that is endearing to read. Have a wonderful day, I just wanted to introduce myself, I’m Barbara and I live in Maryland.
It is so nice to meet you, Barbara! I am not much younger than you, I will be 59 in May!
Too cute Tania -and yes that outfit is so you. Now did you have the R&F logo embroidered on the vest ? At first I thought it may have been in your swag bag but then read it was from ON. Like another reader I haven’t gotten a weekly newsletter lately either -have you stopped those or do I need to re subscribe ? Enjoy the beach.
I local guy did the embroidering. I love getting things like this as gifts! No, I quit doing the newsletter because the email provider wasn’t delivering all of the emails. It was such a pain because the newsletter was a lot of work and then it wasn’t being delivered.
Love black on black it looks so stylish. Do you still do a weekly news letter? I received it for awhile n then it stopped. So dissappointed
Sorry, Susan. I was having so much trouble with the email provider (people were signed up but never getting the email) that I just stopped doing them. It didn’t seem worth the extra effort if they weren’t getting delivered.
Looking great!!?Love the black on black with the leopard scarf , it just pops out at you!!?
Hope you enjoyed your lunch with your new friend! Can’t wait to see the photo!
Yay! You like the scarf! Yes, I can’t wait to meet up with Cindy!
Love the outfit! Can you post again the info on your condo? I like North Myrtle Beach better than Myrtle Beach and we are planning our Sisters’ Week in October.
Marcia, we have a condo at the Avista Resort in North Myrtle Beach. Ours is a 3 bedroom, 3 baths, and I love it because it is on the 1st floor. I am not a fan of heights. Lol!
Beautiful! you looked great and relaxed, enjoy it!
It has been a wonderful trip doing absolutely nothing!
With your figure, you look good in everything
My figure is not that goo, Kym. I just try to hide my flaws with my clothing.
Looking gorgeous, as always xx
You are too sweet Michelle!
What a cute casual look and yes, that scarf makes it! I agree about turtlenecks but since I have a short neck and my face is starting to get closer to it these days ?, I find I’m sticking to cowlnecks instead.
Glad you are having this fun time together. Traditonal jobs certainly don’t give us this kind of flexibility.
I love a cowl neck also. They do the same job but they don’t keep your neck as warm.
Really like the scarf
If Joe is looking at all the airports in the area beware – Joe may start looking at homes in the area. Have a lovely break.

He is trying to find the best airport that we can fly to the next time we come. He wants to fly and I want to drive. Lol!
I can relate to having a curiosity about how other people live, what they do for a living, how they spend their time. At night, I enjoyed as a child riding in our car, driving through the neighborhood, I could catch a glimpse through the lit open window and see a family having dinner or how they furnished their home, at least from what I could see from the street in front of the window. I love Air B&B’s for this reason! My hubs and I have talked about a nomadic lifestyle, when our youngest goes to college! The idea of apartment jumping to different cities to experience the lifestyle sounds fun for a while. He has so many offices across the country-he could work and I could explore-even in Virginia! Thank you Tania for posting these great looks and sources. I have been steadily updating my tired wardrobe from your inspiration!
