HOW TO LOOK STYLISH WITHOUT SPENDING A FORTUNE

 

When I started blogging back in 2015, I believed that you could look stylish and fashionable without spending a fortune. I still think that, and I love showing affordable fashions that are also gorgeous. These four outfits will have something for everyone and fit into everyone’s budget.

All of my fashion today is from Walmart, a retailer that has come onto the fashion scene in full force in the past few years. From casual, cozy, or dressy, you will be able to find clothing to suit your lifestyle. Plus, Walmart has an extraordinary policy of free 2-day shipping and returns for purchases over $35! Walmart makes it very convenient for its customers to shop, especially since most people have a store within 10 miles of their homes. Even though I have two stores within 10 miles of my home, I usually prefer to order online since some of the brands I shop for are not available in stores.

I’ve also bought many Christmas presents from Walmart, and I might have also bought myself a few presents. Lol! My latest purchase was a KitchenAid Professional Mixer, and I plan on putting it to work for my Thanksgiving dinner. I’ve been getting my recipes together, and I’ll share some of those with you later in the week.

Let’s talk casual clothing. This Denim Leopard Print Ruana Wrap is stunning! It is very thick and heavy, which is perfect for the cold days and nights of winter. This is like wearing a blanket around your shoulders, except this is stylish.

I love that there is stitching that creates armholes. I hate it when a Ruana doesn’t have arms and is open all the way. The faded denim blue trim looks great with blue jeans, and the oversized leopard print makes a big statement. I am wearing a black short-sleeve tee with the Ruana, but as the weather turns colder, I’ll replace that with a black turtleneck instead. I’m wearing a large tee which is my usual size.

Here is a good look at the length of the Ruana. Also, look at the fringe braid; it is so substantial and thick! This Ruana isn’t scratchy, and it feels and looks like it should cost way more than $16.00!

The genuine suede lug sole boots are perfect for fall and winter. This type of sole is very trendy, but it is wise also. The large chunky heel is sturdy for walking, and the thick non-skid sole is perfect for the winter months! I am wearing my usual size 9, and I think they run true to size.

This color block mock neck sweater is perfect for wearing with jeans. The wide ribbing at the sleeves, hem, and neckline give the sweater a unique detail that is also comfortable. The mock neck is wonderful since it is not tight or confining.

The blue tones of this medium-weight sweater are soft and soothing, but the sweater also comes in solid black or shades of pink. I like the drop shoulders, which helps my waistline look smaller, but if you have wide shoulders, this might not be a style feature that you would like.

The sweater has a step-down hem and side vents for easy movement. I love sweaters with side vents since they don’t tug when you sit down in a chair. I am wearing a medium in this relaxed and slightly oversized sweater.

The slim bootcut jeans that I’ve worn with both of the sweaters are high-waisted. I like the jeans’ slightly distressed look that gives them that “well-loved” look without showing lots of skin. These jeans fit great and have a slight amount of stretch to them. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit perfectly.

These genuine suede water-resistant lace-up boots are comfortable, plush, warm, and perfect for the coming winter months. The faux-fur collar and lining are soooo soft, and they also have a comfortable memory foam sock. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they are a little roomy, which will be perfect for adding a thick sock.

Speaking of soft and comfortable…this loungewear set is plush! When I was taking my photos, I waited until the end of the session to put on this outfit so that I could wear it the rest of the day. All of you know that I LOVE comfortable and warm loungewear, and this one is perfect for me.

This dark cherry plush hoodie is slightly relaxed and oversized for a comfy and cozy feel. The hoodie comes in camel and peach blush, but the dark cherry color has my name written all over it. This is machine washable and made from 100% polyester. I am wearing a large to get the oversized look, and I love how it fits.

Here is an up-close view of the hoodie, and you can see how plush the material is. The hoodie isn’t heavy; I would consider it a medium weight, warm but not hot.

The matching plush joggers are sold separately. They are a pull-on style and have two side seam pockets and cuffed leg openings. I am wearing large joggers also, and they fit great. The entire set is only $50, which would make an excellent gift for someone who loves soft and comfy items. I’m buying this for my niece for that reason.

Look at how cute these leopard print sneakers are! These sneakers have the weathered sole look, which is very popular. Plus, the silver bling at the heel elevates these sneakers to another level. The area around the laces is not white but more like a light taupe/beige. I found these sneakers to be wide and a tiny bit big, so I might consider sizing down a 1/2 size.

This leopard print sweater dress is cute, stylish, comfortable, affordable, and perfect for fall. I don’t wear dresses as often in the colder months, but I like having a few that I can pull into service if needed.

I was surprised at how much I liked this leopard print sweater dress. The fit is excellent, but I think the long solid ribbed cuff and the slightly puffed sleeves are what that grabbed my attention. After reading a review that suggested sizing down, I ordered a medium and was pleasantly surprised to see that it was a perfect fit!

The dress hits me at the knee and would look great with heels or knee boots also. As the weather turns colder, I’ll add tights to my look, but I wanted to show you how it looked with ankle boots.

I added this black chic quilted handbag with a removable gold chain. This handbag is made from 100% PVC and has a crossbody strap that I have tucked inside. I love the removable gold chain since that could be added to any handbag to elevate its look. This bag will add a polished touch to any outfit, and it also comes in Cognac and Wine.

In the winter, I would add a coat to my outfit, and I love one that is longer if I am wearing a dress. This faux-wool coat is the perfect length for dresses and still looks great with jeans.

For those who have an issue wearing wool, this funnel neck coat might be a great alternative. I love this tan color since it is a great neutral that will go with anything. The coat also comes in several other colors and is available in Plus sizes. I am wearing a large, but I think I will exchange it for a medium one instead.

I bought these black faux-suede scrunch boots last year, and I still wear them all of the time. The pointy toe looks great under jeans and helps to elongate your legs. These boots are super stylish, and I love how they look with this dress, but they also look great with leggings and skinny jeans. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they fit true to size.
