HOW TO BRIGHTEN YOUR STYLE
I survived! You know how you get those stickers to put on your clothing that says, “I Voted” when you vote in an election? Well, I think they need to hand out, “I Survived” stickers when you get finished with a colonoscopy. Whew! I really think the dread and some of the horror stories were the worst part. The thoughts of going without food for such a long period of time was what was driving me crazy. The funny thing is that I am not a big eater anyway. I may not eat anything until 1:00 in the afternoon some days but that is still more than was allowed on “prep” day.
I really appreciated all of your comments. The puns and the jokes were especially great! There were a couple of funny things that happened the day of the testing. We went to the hospital and they took me down to the surgery room. The anesthesiologist was talking to me and explaining the procedure. I was laying on my side talking to her when all of a sudden the doctors head appeared right beside my shoulder. He scared the crap out of me (humor), I didn’t even hear him come into the room. The second thing that happened was when I went to work. They had forgotten that I was having the test so when I walked in at 1:00 pm they just thought I was running really late. They all started clapping their hands. I told them that if I hadn’t been so dedicated that I wouldn’t have come in at all. THAT is when it hit them that I had been a little busy that morning. After a few sheepish looks, they wanted to know when payroll would be ready. Lol! Amazingly enough, all the checks turned out correctly. Haha! BTW, I got the “all clear” sign and the doctor said I didn’t have to have another one for 5 to 10 years. You know which date I am picking!
BTW, I wanted to remind you of the Best Senior Fashion Blog contest that is currently ongoing. It will be over on the 8th so I am asking you to please vote. I know that I may be ahead at this time but that could change quickly if the voting slows down. If you vote from your phone ( I don’t know how you can vote more on your cmputer) you can vote daily by hitting the refresh button. I was just told this, I thought it was a vote once option. Anyway, here is the link. I like this top because of the feel of the material. This top is several years old but I still pull it out every year because of how soft it is. I am like a small child when it comes to the material of my clothing. I want it to be soft and cozy and this top fits the bill. The problem is that it is not my favorite color. You can see how I remedied that problem and that would be by adding a brightly colored scarf to the outfit. I am always on the lookout for scarves when I go shopping. I buy colors and prints that I like without a specific top in mind to wear them with. Even though I don’t see any brown in this scarf, I still think it “goes” with the outfit. A scarf is a very affordable option to change the look of any outfit and I try to keep a huge supply on hand.
I just couldn’t resist wearing this pretty Sycamore set from Plunder. The teal colors just matched the scarf and I have been wanting to wear this for all of you to see. The Chelise necklace is 16-19.5″ so it is a short necklace. All these pieces are set in the antique gold color and are sprinkled heavily with rhinestones and tiny seed pearls. They look like little bugs to me, does anyone else think so? Anyway, the Sally bracelet is on an elastic band so it is super easy to get on and off. I am not sure why I didn’t wear the matching Blake earrings and instead wore the Mera earrings. It must have been because I liked the seed pearls on the Mera. Who knows what I was thinking or even if I was thinking. Lol!
My Rockstar jeans from Old Navy are in the color Creme Caramel. These jeans fit true to size and they are on sale right now for only 17.00. These are a super skinny leg opening so you might want to go to the store and try them on first. Because they are a skinny leg they fit easily into my boots by Marc Fisher.
Did you see that I qualified for the free spa weekend in January? Did you know that I just received the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot FREE from Rodan + Fields? I am not trying to brag, I don’t believe in bragging. I am just trying to share with you that being a consultant for R+F has its “perks” besides having great skin and the potential for a nice paycheck. I would not bother to tell you about the business side of R+F if I truly didn’t think it was such a great opportunity for you. If you are a teacher, think of all the contacts you make yearly. If you sell real estate, think of how many people you meet on a regular basis. Retired??? If you sit down and think of all the people you have come in contact with over the last 40-70 years it would be mind-blowing. I laugh all the time when people will say, “But I don’t know anyone.” How about your family, church members, civic groups, neighbors, the children’s friends, people you went to school with, ladies at the bank or the grocery store, work, etc. Do you understand I am saying? The truth is we know LOTS of people and the best part is, they all have skin. Lol! Anyway, if you are interested in learning more about the products or the perks of becoming a consultant, you know where to find me. Haha

So happy everything was okay (or as the Brits would say “tickety-boo”. Now you have it all “behind” you…no pun intended…ha! I received a letter today that says I am due for another colonoscopy. You look darling in that outfit! xoxo
Hey there, I voted and right now you are killing it! BTW: I love the color of the top. 🙂
Wow, you look so slender in this outfit.
Hey Tania, I just voted and the current voting results look pretty darn good, as would be expected.:) Love your blog. You always put a little extra sunshine in my day!
Is that top really brown? On my computer it looks a pretty dusky purple w/black flecks! Ha! And yes your necklace looks like pretty little turquoise bugs! CUTE! SO glad you made it thru the ordeal and came out w/no grief!
