I am continuing with a look toward fall. You can see that I’ve even added “pumpkin spice” to my look today to get me in the mood for fall. Next week, I am doing a series called Now and Later. I’ll be showing you one outfit and styling it so that you can wear it now and later when the temperatures start to drop. I think that you will find this series helpful and hopefully give you lots of ideas on how to make your wardrobe more versatile.

I am sure when you think of pumpkin spice, you think of a drink or a candle. A pumpkin spice latte from Starbucks is a fall staple for me once fall rolls around. However, today’s pumpkin spice comes in the form of camisole. I’m calling this shade of rust pumpkin spice, and it is perfect for fall.

You can wear this camisole tucked in (like this photo) or left out loose. (like the photo above that) I love that this camisole has a mesh detail and a v-neckline which is my favorite! I also like that the straps are adjustable to decide how low you want that v-neckline to plunge. I’m old enough that I don’t want a plunging look down to my navel. Lol!

The color on the website looks way browner than my photos. I am out in bright sunshine, so maybe that is why mine looks brighter rust; I am not sure. Either way, my tag says that it is the same color as the website. I am actually wearing an XL in this top, but I needed a large instead. I must have picked the wrong size when I ordered it.

I am wearing the same jewelry as I wore the other day with a leopard print cardigan. I bought this knotted black tassel necklace because I knew that I would get a lot of wear from it. This is a great neutral that you can wear any time of the year, and black always looks dressy. I forgot to mention the black hoop earrings the other day, but here is the link to those. I love the size and the thickness of these hoops.

The black essential cardigan is a nice lightweight sweater for early fall. It is open front and has nice large pockets, which I am always looking for. When a sweater or pants don’t have pockets, I feel like a fish out of water. I am constantly trying to put my hand in the non-existent pocket. Lol!

I love the fit of this cardigan (I’m wearing a medium), and everyone needs at least one black cardigan in their wardrobe. I liked the cardigan so much that I also picked up the mauve version. Mauve isn’t a color that you often find in cardigans, and I have a couple of things that will go great with.

I love these comfortable plaid pull-on pants by Croft & Barrow! The plaid print just screams fall, but you can wear them at other times also. The pull-on design is comfortable and not baggy in the tummy area like some pull-on pants can be. I think these are very polished and professional-looking and would be great for a dressed-up date night or a work outfit. I am wearing my regular size 10, and I think the fit is spot on.

Are you having deja vu with these black heels? Lol! Yes, I’ve worn them a couple of times, but I like the texture combination and the shiny and the matte finish on these shoes. Plus, the fact that they are comfortable doesn’t hurt either.

The pointy toe helps to elongate my legs, and when worn with black pants, my legs will look 10 feet long! I am wearing my usual size 10, and I think they run TTS.

Sunday is the last day for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. So, I am sharing a few of my favorite items that I LOVE and am keeping. I don’t keep everything that I order; I don’t have the money or the space. Some things don’t fit, some things I just don’t need, and others stay in my closet. I probably keep way more than I should. Lol!

I view the Anniversary Sale as when I can get higher-end items that I normally wouldn’t splurge for. For me, that usually looks like cashmere, a nice leather jacket, premium denim jeans, Tory Burch items, and a handbag or two. As I said, I keep way more than I should.

Love this outfit. Just placed my order.

  2. I love the cami with the mesh insert, but I knew I would never wear it with such skinny straps. I did find a nice v-neck in a similar color called cinnamon dust (with short sleeves) from the same retailer, and already picked it up. Thanks for the heads up on a great color option. I think I may wear it tomorrow (to lunch with an old friend) with white jeans or pants and a cute feather print kimono I recently got that picks up those colors, and which also looks great with navy.

  6. Love that color on you. I am not ready to give into fall colors yet.

  7. My perfect fall outfit is a cardigan, v neck tee and cute jeans, still prefer skinny jeans also,
you can’t go wrong, wear with cute booties, flats or tenni’s.

I really like these colors together. They look like fall and are beautiful.

  10. Love the outfit today. The plaid in the pants is what I would wear. Yes the weather is too warm for now, but you have inspired me to start looking at my wardrobe to add an item or two for the transition to fall.
