HIT OR MISS – TRAIN ENGINEER STRIPED SHIRT
Are the Hit or Miss posts one of your favorite posts? What about the This or That posts? I’m trying to stick with a theme when I can so that you know what to expect, and I can plan ahead what I need to order. Of course, there are always going to be days with exceptions, but most of the time I’m going to stick with a schedule.
When possible, my Monday posts are going to showcase affordable fashions. Tuesdays are going to be my flexible day, so I’m not sticking with a clothing theme for that day. Wednesday’s are Hit or Miss, and Thursday’s are This or That. Friday is another flexible day, while Saturdays are devoted to casual style. My Sunday posts will stay the same as always, so that day won’t change.
Maybe it is because I lived beside a railroad track for over 15 years, but this striped top reminds me of a railroad engineer. Lol! That doesn’t mean that I don’t like the top, but the print is similar to a train engineer hat. The Puff Sleeve Striped Pullover is 100% cotton and a little heavier than some of my previous spring shirts. This pullover doesn’t have any stretch to it, but the medium fits me fine.
The puff sleeves are unique because of the different stripe positions. This top is a great transition piece, and you can get a lot of wear with it. Here is the look from the back so that you can gauge the length of the top.
You might have heard me mention that I always buy myself a gift for Valentine’s Day, and tell Joe that I saved him the trouble of going shopping. This tradition started years ago when I bought myself this Coach handbag. I still love this handbag, and I carry it every spring and summer. See what great taste Joe has. Lol!!! This bag is no longer available, but I’ll see if I can round up some others for you. I’m sure that your husband’s style can be just as good. Haha!
I took these photos before I knew that these release hem jeans were not on the website. The released hem is a form of distressed jeans, but there are no holes or tears. I thought this look might be a good option for those who aren’t fond of jeans with rips. I’ll link to some others for you; these were Time and Tru, and they run TTS.
I didn’t find my platform sneakers, but I did find my Sperry Crest Vibe sneakers that I love and wear all the time. These sneakers wash up well, and I’ve had these going on three summers, so I feel like I got my money’s worth out of them. I had to size down in these shoes to an 8 1/2 instead of my usual size 9.

It is a hit! I prefer more color but it looks great on you!
I would like it with longer pants and different shoes, only because I am short enough and I don’t want my legs to look short. You can carry this casual look much better than I.
The striped top looks good on you, but I am not sure It would look good on me. I do like the train engineer looking fabric and have a pair of jeans in that fabric.
It’s a HIT!!!
I love this outfit. It looks young and spring-y
The whole thing–top to bottom, a winner! Looks youthful and effortless.
This is the first outfit of this series that is a miss for me. I do however, like the casualness of it. It looks comfortable.
Hit! Cute outfit all around 🙂
I like the stripes; it looks like it would be a cool and comfortable top. I also love the Monday posts. I’ve been surprised at how many cute fashions you’ve modeled that are super affordable.
I like this outfit from top to bottom. Definitely my style. I also bought myself a white Coach purse several years ago. They clean up at the end of the season perfectly before you store it away till next year. Hit!
