I don’t know about where you live, but Fall has hit hard here where I live. It was a high in the mid-60s today, and it is supposed to be in the low 40s tonight. I am always cold, and Joe is always hot, so there is a struggle over the thermostat at our house. When we go to bed at night, I get revenge by putting my cold feet against his legs to warm them up. Lol!

We bought a Purple Mattress about a year ago, and it gives both of us a fantastic night’s sleep. When we bought our new house that we are living in part-time, we bought all of the furnishings from the previous owner. That included a new Temperpedic mattress for the master bedroom. We used to have Temperpedic mattresses before we bought our purple, so, we didn’t think that it would be a big issue. We were wrong..Joe has complained about that mattress ever since he slept on it for the first time.

Our 35th anniversary is coming up in November and I asked him if he wanted us to buy a Purple Mattress for the new house. At first, he said no. A Purple Mattress is not cheap, and he didn’t want to spend the money. But, about 30 minutes later, he said, “buy the Purple! We spend half of our lives in bed, and I want that time to be enjoyable.”

Yesterday, our Purple Mattress arrived, and he was like a little kid. The only drawback that I have with the mattress is that it is a cooling mattress. Let me rephrase that, it is COLD, and to keep me from freezing, I layer a blanket next to my skin and the sheet on top of that. When the temperatures drop even lower, I put a throw blanket under me to keep me cozy warm. I think that being cold must run in my family, my sister has been known to go to bed with a beanie on her head. Lol!

We also use Purple Pillows to sleep with. Joe and my daughter both love the original Purple Pillow, but I use the Harmony. We have duplicates of those too so that we don’t have to travel with them. Lol!

Yellows aren’t normally a color that I gravitate toward. I know a lot of other blondes who love this color, but I feel that it can wash me out. But, when I spotted this chamois sandwashed satin shirt, I had to make an exception. The color is muted, and I think that I will get a lot of wear from it this fall. However, it is the softness that sold me on the shirt. I love items next to my skin that is soft, and this one passed the test.

This shirt is one that can be dressed up or down, so it is very versatile. Today, I wanted to wear the shirt with jeans, so I tied it at the waist to show a different way to wear it. Obviously, you can tuck, half-tuck, or even un-tuck the shirt. I am wearing a size 1, and it is almost too tight through the chest. But, I added a strip of Hollywood Fashion Tape, and the problem was solved.

A moto jacket is so fun to wear! I think that you age backward at least 10 years the minute that you put one on. This navy faux-leather jacket is so soft to the touch, and the color is extremely versatile. Wearing a darker color over the Chamois yellow top helps to keep me from looking washed out. I use this trick all of the time, and it works like a charm.

The jacket has knit panels for stretch to move with you, it’s a touch longer for perfect coverage and a flattering fit. It’s the perfect jacket for fall casual wear, just right with your favorite jeans. I am wearing a size 1 jacket, and it fits great!

Normally, I only have one “star” for an outfit. However, I can’t decide what the star of this outfit is…the Chamois shirt, the Faux-Leather Jacket, or these beautiful embroidered jeans?!? These So-Slimming Girlfriend ankle jeans are GORGEOUS, and they will definitely get a lot of attention. The colors are fabulous for fall, but they will be great all year round.

The girlfriend style is a tiny bit slimmer than a boyfriend style, but they don’t look loose and baggy. I am wearing my usual size 1 in these jeans, and the fit is perfect for me. These are available in tall up to a size 20, plus, they are also available in Petite.

I bet that you’ve seen me carry this camel leather handbag before. The reason is simple…it is a great neutral color, it goes with everything, and, it is a great medium size bag. To use the words of Mary Poppins, it is “practically perfect in every way.” Lol!

I want my comfort level to extend all the way from my top to my toes, so comfortable shoes are part of my casual weekend outfits. If you have ever tried LifeStride, you know that they know a thing or two about comfort. I love this classic navy loafer with the penny strap detail.

The style might have been what attracted me, but it is the Soft System® comfort package that provides all-day support, flex, and cushioning that keeps me reaching for this pair. The cushioned padding is so comfortable that I can wear these shoes for all my errands without having foot fatigue. These loafers run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.

A LOT of you have asked me about a tutorial on what to take and how to pack for a weekend or extended trip. So, I created a YouTube video showing you what I take, what I pack in, and how I decide on what clothing to take. Warning, the video is long, but it is packed with lots of helpful tips!!!

Like you, yellow/mustard is not a good color for me close to my face unless I wear a topper in a color that is better for me. This does make a pretty outfit!

  9. Tania, I sleep with an oversized, microplush fabric covered heating pad. I believe it turns off after 90 minutes. You would love it! (Lots to be found on Amazon.)

I have been tempted by that jacket every time I walk into Chico’s. I already have two of their moto jackets so I’ve resisted but it’s gorgeous. The jeans have tempted me, too. Great Fall outfit!

Another win with the yellow shirt and Blue motto jacket. This outfit doesn’t wash you out.The blue makes your face pop!

  13. Love that shade of yellow. We have a new Purple mattress as well and I am obsessed with it to the point that I want the pillows as well. Glad to hear I’m not the only one however I so agree about the coldness. I used to use a heated mattress pad but I hate to put it on the purple because I want to feel that bouncy top layer of the mattress. I think I’ll have to get an electric blanket. Love your posts, I’m quite new to your blog.
