HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!! I hope each of you has already had someone say that to you today but if not, then let me be the first. I served Joe breakfast in bed today. I fixed him heart-shaped pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream. I also included a cup of coffee and a Mimosa to get his day started. A cute Valentine card was standing up against a small vase with a single cut rose in it. 
Surely you gurl’s know me better than that. LOL!!! I was just trying my hand at fiction writing but I couldn’t come up with anything too romantic. I guess I could have said that the sound of my negligee softly whispered as I walked across the floor and then I bent down and gave him a long slow kiss. Hahaha! Actually, he fixed his own breakfast, how is that for romantic??? When I read that story to Joe, he wanted to know who was that Joe and who did he marry? 
We are continuing the week with the red theme. I love this old top with all of its colors and patterns. It is very boho to me and the material is a gauze which adds to the boho feel. I have had this top forever it seems and I can’t even remember where I bought it from. The tag is long since gone so it must have been scratchy and I cut it out. Do the rest of you do things like that? This has short sleeves and if it hadn’t been so chilly outside I could have worn it without the waterfall cardigan. It is flowy and forgiving so I had no need to hide the lumps and bumps around my waist. Even though this top has a background that is the mushroom color you don’t notice that because the rest of the top is vibrant. BTW, one of the tops below is EXPENSIVE, can you guess which one???
You can’t see from the pictures but there are tiny little gold sequins on the top that glisten as you move. I added the Kyle earrings because the gold dangles reminded me of the sequins. They are a 2.5″ drop but they are very lightweight. I have two dainty necklaces on. The longer one is the Jill and the shorter one is the Kaylee. The Kaylee has the little gold dangles which match the Kyle earrings. The Gail bracelet has the word, HOPE, stamped on it. It is adjustable up to 8″ and it has pearl and crystal dangles. The one item in my wardrobe that I will wear over and over again is pants. In this case, these mushroom colored pants are worn quite often and you can check out where I got them by going to this post. The booties were gifted to me from White Mountain Shoes last year. I wore them with camo pants last year and they were super cute. (See HERE) I like the darker colored suede, or in this case, it is suedette, and I like the vintage style of the bootie.
My favorite cardigan style has got to be the waterfall. It has been around for so long that I expect it to go out of the stores before long. They never keep something around for very long because they want you to keep buying new. If they keep a style too long then you would have no reason to ever go shopping. That is why we have “NEW” trends every year.

OMG–you GOT me with that opener!!! First I thought…geez…don’t these people work? And then I thought…am I supposed to do that? (God knows the guy is lucky to get a cuppa joe–and that’s if he puts the pot on…I usually throw a yogurt and a piece of fruit to him as he runs out the door…) At any rate, we didn’t argue at all today, so if that’s not love, what is? BTW—Love your red outfit! It’s HOT!
Love your outfit! I too, started to think when I got to the part of strawberries and whip cream, Lisa’s and thought, “who does that?” And so early in the morning? I’m lucky if I can get off the chair after finishing my coffee to get ready for work, never mind make all that you described!!! LOL!!!! Happy Valentine’s Day! I totally fell for it, and thought how I put little effort into Valentine’s Day since we have gotten older. Now I think I better come up with something romantic for dinner tonight. I immediately guessed which was the expensive shirt. When I was growing up my dad always said I had an eye for the most expensive. Guess he was right. Red is truly your color. You look so vibrant!

You crack me up! I was reading that first few sentences thinking “Aww, she’s just like me!” Seriously, I have DONE that kind of thing for my husband & look where it got me!
