HAPPY THANKSGIVING FROM OUR HOUSE TO YOURS
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I am busy making sure that I have all of the ingredients for my dishes that I am making since the grocery stores are open until 3:00. It will be a small gathering this year with only Joe and I and our son’s family that lives next door. I am not a great cook, but I make a few things for Thanksgiving that everyone likes, so those will be on the menu. My Sweet Potato Crunch is the number one requested dish, so I’ll include that in this post if anyone would like to try it.
My granddaughter, Emersyn, came over to spend the night, and she is planning on helping me cook. She has a little apron that she wears and a step stool that she drags all over the kitchen to reach the countertop. Maybe she will have a love of cooking instead of being like me and only having a love of eating. Lol!
Here is my Thanksgiving Menu that I plan of cooking:
- Turkey Breast
- Corn Casserole
- Sweet Potato Crunch
- Broccoli Salad
- Deviled Eggs
- Dressing and Gravy
- Homemade rolls OR Sister Schubert Rolls – time depending.
- Hornet Nest Cake and Pumpkin Pie
Wow, that sure sounds like a lot of food for four adults and two children. I am sure that you will find me in a food coma this afternoon. After we have our dinner, Emersyn and I, intend to start decorating for Christmas. The decorating might have to wait until Friday, but since Emersyn has declared that she is staying with me until Sunday, I guess we will have plenty of time.
My Rodan and Fields special for today is all about the eyes. The newly formulated Redefine Multi-Function Eye Cream now works 3X better and 2X faster. So, all orders placed as my Preferred Customer will be able to take advantage of my sale. Redefine Eye Cream retails for 70.00, but as my PC, you get the first eye cream for 63.00, and the second one will be 43.00. Since this special is from ME and not R+F, you will need to purchase 2 Redefine Eye Creams, and I will refund you the discount of 20.00. This eye cream is what I have been using for 4 1/2 years, and it has erased my crow’s feet. Keep them both or give one to a special friend!
Not my customer??? Because I am sooo thankful for how R+F has transformed my skin, I want those same results for ALL of you. Message me if you want “me” to order for you. Email me if you have questions or need help in placing an order.
I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the recipe:

1 I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.

Tania, we also had that same Sweet Potato casserole! We love it! My daughter looked up the recipe for Hornets Nest Cake 2. Is that the same one you had? Hope your Thanksgiving was blessed!
Happy Thanksgiving Tania! The recipe sounds wonderful! I’ll have to try that! Thanks!
Happy thanksgiving! I would love to have the recipe for the hornet cake, the broccoli salad and deviled eggs. Every thing sounds delicious!
It will be just my husband and me but my son is picking up to-go plates for he and his wife and two daughters. So I’m still cooking! Makes it seem a little more like Thanksgiving even if we are not eating together.
Your Sweet Potato Crunch sound very similar to mine, but I add coconut and use self-rising flour in my topping. I never have leftovers of this dish because my grandkids love it….maybe because it tastes like a dessert!😉. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. May blessings abound for you all.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well! I wanted to ask what Hornet Nest Cake was? Sounds interesting! I live in Pennsylvania and never heard of it. I also love that you are not a great cook. I think it is funny as neither am I. I try but I can ruin boiling water without even trying. LOL! That is a stretch but you get the point.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING.!
Recipe looks fabulous!
What size baking dish? How many sweet potatoes do you need for 3 cups?
Can you post the recipe for the Hornet’s Nest Cake. It sounds really different.
Happy Thanksgiving 🦃
Happy Thanksgiving Tania! Oh, btw, you can’t tell me your fixing a Hornets Nest Cake w/o posting the recipe! I gotta know what that is. 😀Sandy
Greetings from Canada! Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Thinking of you all today! May smiles, laughter and love fill your hearts!
