HAPPY ST.PATRICK’S DAY EVE
Happy St. Patrick’s Day Eve! Lol! I bet when you first started reading that sentence, you thought that I was off a day. I guess that I sort of am, but since my Sunday post doesn’t contain fashion, I thought that I would remind you today. I would hate to be responsible for you getting pinched tomorrow. Lol! The color for St. Patrick’s Day is green, not black and blue. Haha!
Yesterday was spent celebrating Joe’s birthday. We stayed up late the night before, and it was after midnight when we finally went to bed. I told Joe Happy Birthday before we went to sleep, and then he asked me why we didn’t celebrate our birthday’s. He wanted to know if he was the reason or if it was because we had gotten older. The truth is, it is probably a mixture of both things. Joe has never been one to remember dates, buy cute little gifts, or want a celebration for anything. I don’t know if that was the way he was raised or if it is a Joe thing. I have come to realize that he will buy what and when he wants something, and he doesn’t need a special day telling him that it is alright. Also, he will buy me anything that I ask for. He doesn’t pick up on clues or hints, so if I want something for my birthday, Christmas, Anniversary, etc., then I either buy it for myself, or I say precisely what I want. I don’t look for there to ever be a “surprise” party in either of our future. I would probably pass out from a heart attack, and he would probably hit someone thinking that he was being attacked. Lol! It doesn’t look like we are the “party animal” type. Lol!
I wore this blazer in February when I was showing you a way to wear green. I styled it with a pale printed top and a pair of white pants, (Go here to see) and today, I am wearing it with a solid top. It seems like a small change, but the looks are so very different. The post earlier was light and airy, and the post today is vibrant. This shows you how your own personal style can shine through even if you wear the same item as someone else.
Y’all, I am not trying to sell you anything. But, if you are in the market for good skincare, then I want to make sure that you are aware of the choices out there. Just like all cars are not created equal, neither are skincare products. Some might be packaged fancier, some might talk about being all natural, or some might tell you how affordable they are. Rodan + Fields believes in doing it the old fashioned way and letting the products speak for themselves. As they say, “a picture is worth a thousand words!”
Join my Facebook group to find out how you can have more confidence, thanks to R+F, AND I am offering a special today in that group that will run through Sunday night. Don’t have Facebook? Message me instead, and I will share the deal with you. fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

Thank you for celebrating St Patrick’s with the wearing of the green! My father used to say Top o the morning to ya and the rest of the day to me self! Haha! I hear you about spouses not picking up on clues. I shop all the time so I don’t expect fashion from my family. I do love flowers though! Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
I LOVE my birthday & usually celebrate for at least a month! I do fun things with different friends.
Hey Tania, I love this look of mixing different greens together; it adds dimension and interest to an outfit, and your jewelry couldn’t be any more perfect! Please tell Joe I wish him a happy belated birthday!!! You two are a hoot, I’ll tell ya! I laughed out loud when you said if someone gave ya’ll a surprise b’day party, you’d pass out and he’d hit someone. LOL!!!! You’re right about not celebrating with a party or buying gifts when you get older because when you need something, you just go get it any time during the year. I think everyone gets like that and leaves the parties and gifts for the children. It truly is the thought that counts anyway. You two have a great weekend!!!
You look fabulous today & I LOVE that jacket w/the big flower on it! Did it come w/the jacket? those necklaces & bracelets match perfectly like you bought them together, and the shoes are adorable! Thanks for the links to the other 3 pair too – SO cute! How funny that you stayed up so late the NIGHT BEFORE Joe’s birthday instead of celebrating on the day. Men are so funny about not liking attention on their birthdays! Glad that you don’t care either if he makes a fuss of you on yours! Happy St. Paddy’s Day Eve to you!
Love love love the color combination! What nail polish are you wearing? I love that too!
My nail salon doesn’t have the name of the color on the bottle, so I have no idea.
I really like the jeans
I have several 3-strand necklaces…love them, especially pearls. I think they are very classy.
Loved the “sample” similar wedges you included..especially the ones from L’Artiste.
Those L’Artiste ones are super cute!
You and Joe sound a lot like hubs and me. We don’t wait until a birthday or holiday to buy something. Love the combo of green and teal. I’m jealous that you can wear cutes shoes. We still have snow on the ground. Hopefully in a couple of weeks I can drag out my shoes
Tania. Have you talked about R&F self tanner. I would like to hear your thoughts on it. Also, does it make existing brown spots darker when applied?
Robin, any tanner will make the dark spots darker. The rest of your skin gets darker also, so it evens out. Dark spots actually are rough, even though you might not be able to feel the difference, so they can “grab” the tanner and make they appear darker.
I love the necklaces/pin combination! Can you tell ( or show ) us how you store your jewelry “on the wall” ? Also, more info on the antique jewelry show? Do you know if it travels? Thanks~ Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
The fashion show is one that my mom and her friend do together. They don’t travel, other than to the Atlanta area, where my sister lives.
