GROMMETS ON A DRESS
I talked to my sister this morning and she was telling me some stories on my brother’s little girl, Allison. You have heard me tell other stories about her, my brother and sister-in-law are going to have their hands full for a LONG time. My mother has been taking her to Vacation Bible School this past week and just like a grandmother she was giving her some instructions on how to act. She is 6 years old and can be quite the handful. Lol! Anyway, my mother told her to be nice and act mature since she was the youngest child in the class. Her reply was, “Why are you trying to make me something that I am not?”
My mother has become quite the animal lover and will take in everything that she sees. She and Allison were in a parking lot while running some errands and my mom saw a small dog that looked like a Chihuahua. Mom told Allison that my dad would strangle her if she took it home. Later that night they got ready to leave to go to VBS and mom was backing out of the driveway. She saw one of her dogs running around and she told Allison not to worry that she wouldn’t hit the dog. Then my dad walked behind the vehicle and mom said she wouldn’t hit him either. Allison piped up and said, “on the bright side at least you could get that Chihuahua.” What are they going to do with her? Lol!!!
Little sisters can be good for some things. In this case, it would be giving me a dress that she bought for herself but didn’t like. I, on the other hand, love this dress. She bought it a ROSS but when she put it on she didn’t like the effect. She is shorter than I am and has a much larger chest. She told me that it looked like she was wearing a tent. Lol! Awwww, I hate that for her……not! Now, I get the dress. Hahaha! I like the material and how easy this dress is to wear. The straps are good and wide so I didn’t have to worry about my bra straps peeking out. The grommets around the neckline are the unique feature and it adds some dressiness to the dress. Lol! The brand of the dress is Expresso.

Do you know what my number one referrer page is? It is Pinterest! I truly appreciate every time you “pin” a picture. Heck, pin ALL the pictures if you want. Lol! Also, if you would like to share my posts on Facebook or Twitter, I would appreciate that. It helps get my blog out to more people, and I am sure you just want to spread the entertaining sayings I have. Lol! The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.

Love the dress, and your niece sounds adorable. On another note, I have tried to email a couple of times regarding Rodan & Fields and they keep not going thru. Not sure what I am doing wrong. My main question was, if I’m not interested in becoming a representative, does it still benefit you if I place an order thru you? My email is pamelabentz@gmail.com. Maybe if we try it with you emailing me it will work! 🙂 Anyway, love your blog. It always makes me smile.
Hi, Pam. I sent you an email, I don’t know what is the problem with my email. Yes, it will benefit me, thank you for asking.
“On the bright side, at least you could get the chihuahua…” LLLLLOOOOOLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!
I’d let my sister bequeath me a dress like that anytime!
love this on you but i’m not much of a dress person..
Love the dress!! I also love all your stories of your family, puts a smile on my face everyday!! Thanks!
Love this simple outfit . This is great outfit for a quick church look when your running late. That’s me most Sundays. I love the stories about your family.
You look adorable as always. I love the stories about your niece. I have a 6 yr old granddaughter that sounds like they are related. I have a funny story Im planning on sharing on Face Book. Kids this age are so funny!
The dress looks great on you…and the hair cut is very cute!!
In response to yesterday’s post. A bad day is not when your hairdresser calls and she is running late. A bad day is when you are told you have cancer! Be thankful count your blessings that you are able physically to go to the hairdresser and you can afford to pay for it!
I wouldn’t call myself a “frumpy” dresser by any means, but I’ve been feeling lately like my inner “fun and fancy free” has been squelched by life and all of its stresses for the past 5 or so years now… which oddly enough, has been reflected in my wardrobe! So after searching on Pinterest for “Styles for Women over 40” (as I’m closer to 47 – ha!), I started seeing your lovely pins…. which ended up in subscribing to your blog… which ended up in total inspiration to work on jazzing up that mediocre, drab wardrobe. I want my outside to match my God-given bubbly & fun inside! Thank you & God bless! <3
