50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYYou never know what is going to happen when you go “LIVE” on FaceBook. I know some of you might not be on FaceBook so let me explain what I am talking about. Instead on writing a post or putting a picture up on my timeline I can choose to record a live video. Going live is always scary for me because you never know what is going to happen or if I am going to completely lose my train of thought which happens often. Lol! Anyway, I went live last night and it was hilarious……
50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYI have found a new app that I am playing around with that allows you to put graphics and text messages into your live video so I wanted to test it out. I got brave and hit the GO LIVE button and started talking then I see a comment from a reader pop up. People who are watching the video can comment and I can give answers if there is a question. Anyway, I see a lady in a dress and the comment says, “You are beautiful.” Awww, isn’t that sweet? Then in just a few seconds, there is another comment from the same person saying, “I want to talk to you” then another one “We can do video chat” and then another that says “I want you to help” and all this is going on while I am on live video. I started losing my train of thought by then and I knew that it was not a “real” person or friend but I was live and there wasn’t anything I could do about it. I managed to get through the video but you can see me giving the screen some strange looks while I am taping it. Lol! As soon as I finished the video I went and deleted the comments but I have no idea if anyone saw them. I bet they were chuckling if they did. Hahaha!Pick a color, any color. Lol! There are soooo many colors in this top that you could wear this for days and not wear the same pair of pants twice. Those of you that are not fans of color are not going to like this post in the least because it is color overload. The off the shoulder top is by Entro which is a brand you find in specialty boutiques. I like how this one has a thick band at the shoulders which helps it to stay in place better. If you don’t like the off the shoulder look you could always wear the top in a normal style. It still looks great.

50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYI love these earrings!!! These are a pair of earrings that Julie from Kay & Star sent me back a month ago. I have been waiting for just the right top to wear them with and this one was perfect. These are so lightweight and you talk about a statement! I think the hot pink suede tassel earrings just match the hot pink in the top. The Reece necklace is a little harder to pick out because of all the prints. I tried on several different necklaces but nothing showed up great so I just went with the Reece which happens to be the middle name of my new grandson. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYThe matching bracelet to the Reece necklace is called the Beatrice. The Ashley bracelet on the right arm is too cute. It has been one of my all time favorite bracelets that I have gotten from Plunder. It is perfect for the summer months but with the topaz colors on it, I think it will still be fine for fall.50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYTired of seeing my Kate Spade purse yet??? Just break down and get your own and you won’t be sitting there with green eyes. At least that was what I did every time I saw a purse like this that someone was carrying. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYI love this orchid pair of pixie pants from Old Navy. I put them on this morning and I kept thinking, “dang, I am really gaining weight. These things are tight.” Then, I looked at the tag and I realized why they were tight. When you buy pixie pants from Old Navy that has spandex in them you need to size up. I know that so I have no idea why I purchase a pair in my normal size. ?

50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYOkay, before someone else comments, I know the earrings and the pants are two different hues. I put the earrings on as I was walking out the door to take my pictures. When I looked at the pictures I could see that they didn’t really go together but it was too late. Oh well, I don’t think that anyone had an adverse reaction to seeing them together. Haha!!! I have on my Marc Fisher platform sandals today. I came around a corner too fast at work and about fell off of them. I thought that would have been super smart. I could just hear Joe if I had broke my ankle because I fell off a pair of platform shoes. We do NOT want to go there. Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | GOING LIVE IS SCARYWith disasters, you will see the true nature and compassion of the human race. It is heartbreaking to see so much devastation in Houston. Texans are proud and resilient people and I know they will rebound but until then they need some help. Every little bit helps and every prayer counts. Here are some of the things that I am going to do and you can feel free to comment if you know of others:

  1. Text HARVEY to 90999 which will donate 10.00 to the Red Cross.
  2. Donate to the Food Banks in Houston.
  3. Donate to the Diaper Bank in Texas. You can choose the disaster relief link.
  4. All of my proceeds from R+F this week will go to these organizations.
  5. Sharing and Praying.

I may only be one person but all of us as a collective can do great things.

BTW, if you want to watch the FaceBook live video that I did yesterday to see my reactions to the texts, just click here.

You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!

The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day. Be sure to follow me on PinterestTwitterInstagramYouTube, and Facebook.

  1. So far one of my top 10!!! I love this outfit and you look lovely. You are absolutely glowing! Must be that new grandbaby!!

  2. Love the color “overload”! You are never boring! 🙂 I am with everyone else-the color difference in the earrings and pixie pants makes it not so match-match! I am trying not to match everything up color-wise all the time, so this outfit gives me inspiration! Appreciate your heart for Texas.

I just love those shoes and admire them every time you’ve worn them on the blog. I actually DID fall off a pair of platform sandals a couple weeks ago! It was made worse because I was visiting relatives I never see, and my aunt was questioning if I could walk out in the yard in those shoes, so I was blabbing on about how my shoes were so comfy and so easy to walk in…..and down I went. Boy did I pop back up fast—no point in staying down there waiting for more witnesses! My uncle and husband missed the whole thing, but of course she told on me. 🙂

    1. Oh, no! I am glad you were able to pop back up. It is funny how we are concerned if any one just saw us fall instead of the fact that we actually fell. Lol!

  4. I like ALL THE COLOR! and honestly to me the earrings and pants are far enough apart that I didn’t notice until you pointed it out. Because both hues feature in that amazing blouse.

Another outfit that is adorable on you! i have a hard time finding the tops as cute as this! When I try them on, it seems as though I should be with child! L0L!.

You look great! The colors are vibrant too! Another one of my favorites.

  6. My family and I are coming to KY on vacation this fall – hitting Louisville & The Ark Experience. I’m trying to talk my sisters & daughter into a loop around to Grundy for the QVC outlet shopping. Is it worth it do you think?

  7. This is such a cute outfit! I especially like the top and the color of the earrings don’t bother me one bit. I’m going to have to remember to check out your Facebook page. It sounds like ya’ll are having a hoot over there and I don’t want to miss out! 😉 Samaritan’s Purse with Franklin Graham are already in Texas ready to get in there and start cleaning up and rebuilding people’s homes. This is a wonderful organization if anyone is interested in donating through them.

  8. Love the top! I just happened to catch your live feed. You did great but the person commenting was definitely shady!

    1. Connie, I was shaken by the comments. Lol! It was hard to concentrate.

  9. Great outfit Tania! You have a kind and generous heart to be thinking and doing for South Texas!

  10. Love the colors! Another happy outfit ❤️

I’m sure you did great last night. Laughter is the best medicine anyway 😉 I love your outfit and I think you look like you’ve lost weight. I’m a Texan in a Oklahoma world, so thank you for your contribution toward this devastating situation. Texans are tough and resiliant people, but I know they appreciate help from all over the country. I guaranty you they would be there for any of us in a heart beat. God bless you, Tania. I’m going to do my part. Anybody that is not able to give a donation, please keep Texas and Louisiana in your prayers.

Love all the colors in the top! You pull off everything so well. I know you said you are trying some new settings on your camera and software, just wanted to mention that it seems like your photos are slightly out of focus over the past few days. I think the middle of the photos (usually your top) is in focus, but your face appears blurry. I think its an aperture setting. Not criticizing, truly trying to be helpful! Thanks for your blog.

  13. Love this outfit and the awesome colors ! You did great on your live feed Tania ?

  14. Alina Lopez says:

Love the outfit. Love the bracelets. Totally love the links to help for Houston. Made my morning.

  15. Your blog is one I love to read everyday, but I have to admit the porch floor with dead leaves really bothers me. No, I am not complaining, it is just my issue.

    1. Hahaha. Every time I move the ferns they drop leaves and I was just looking at them yesterday morning thinking the same thing. Lol! Emersyn loves to be the one to sweep off the porch but the last time she was over she wanted to swim instead. Imagine a 4-year-old wanting to swim instead of sweep. Hahaha!

  16. Alicia Giess says:

I really love this outfit and you look fabulous in it!

  17. I am soooo happy you realized the different pink colors in the pants, top and earrings!! I was thinking this is sooo not like her, lol. I do love the outfit though!!

  18. You always know how to have a good time, Tania—live or memorex!!
And I’m glad your earrings don’t “match” the pants!! I’ve been trying hard to get away from always matching—it’s how I was brought up, but it can look dated sometimes…

  19. Very pretty top! You could wear many different color pants with it, navy pixie pants would look nice and you could still wear those gorgeous earrings! I watched your video last night, never noticed anything….lol…give yourself a pat on the back, you did a great job despite the distraction! ?

  20. Can you see my blue eyes turn green here in Canada when I see that Kate Spade purse???? Lol you look so pretty! Good job!

  21. Good morning, Miss Tania!

Oooooooooooo, ahhhhhhhhh, this might be one of my all time favorites! You LOOK adorable! So feisty, ready to have fun! I’m like you, I have no fear of color, now, after reading your blog for these last two months! LOL! I hope you wear this outfit on your vacation in Panama City Beach! Woo! Hoo!

Safe and happy travels to The Sunshine State! ???

Hope you have a fun day! ?

  22. Thank you for helping with the Hurricane Harvey Disaster Relif. As you so kindly indicate, every contribution will help. At this point, it looks as though the rains are coming to an end, thank goodness and the movement of Harvey out of the state. But the beginning of the real tragedy for so many will become very clear in the next few days. Water has been in thousands upon thousands of homes for many days now. Many people will have no way to recover. Thank you for spreading the word. Every donation will help.
Good luck with the ‘live’ communication. You will be fine with it in no time! Love your ‘can do’ spirit!

  23. Not crazy over today’s outfit, but love those earrings! I am “technology challenged” so I admired you courage to “Go Live”.

  24. Jackie Davis says:

I love the outfit! The earrings are fine, I wouldnt have noticed if you hadnt said.

  25. Tania, This outfit is very cute. Who cares about the hues in the earrings. The statement is still adorable.
I hope you won’t mind me being nosey…but which blog software do you use and is it hosted or self hosted.
I am going to start a blog but am hung up on all the choices. Would you mind giving a new girl some advice?
