GEOMETRIC SHEATH DRESS

Today, 5 years ago, the little blond-haired whirlwind came into our lives. Yes, today is Emersyn Gray’s 5th birthday!!! My mom and dad sent each of the grandkids some money for them to go shopping while they were here so we made a trip to Walmart for Them to spend their money before it burned a hole in their pockets. It is so funny to see how each child handles money.Huttson is a saver and will look over each toy and carefully weigh out his options and will hardly every spend half of what he has. Jett, on the other hand, is the exact opposite. He picks out his toy and wants to know how much he has left. Then he continues to find more and more until he has nothing left in his wallet. Matti is a mixture of the two. She will spend freely and that can mean giving part of her money to Jett who of course is always needing to borrow some. Lol! That brings me to Emersyn. Emersyn has NO concept of money. She went to Walmart with 50.00 and bought two tiny toys and probably left the store with close to 35.00 or more dollars. Also, Emersyn would be mad if I didn’t tell everyone that she swam in the deep end of the pool yesterday for the first time. She is now officially a BIG girl! This is what I wore to church on Sunday. I have actually had this dress for two or three years but this is the first time that I have worn it. I love this dress but it got pushed to the back of my closet and I just forgot about it. I loved the color of the dress and the geometric pattern. I bought this at TJ Maxx which is a fantastic place to buy dresses. I didn’t even think about this having red, white and blue in it but everyone at church was decked out in their patriotic colors.

I have had the Anika earrings for a while but I have gotten so used to wearing the large statement earrings that I hardly ever put on a pair that is smaller. These are a bright royal blue color and are only 1/2 studs. I am not sure if you can see the Verna ring that I have on. I finally broke down and ordered the Verna and the Chanel rings. I ordered a size 9 so that wear then on my pointer finger because I never take off my wedding ring or my 10 years anniversary ring. You really don’t need to wear a necklace with this dress but I have been dying to wear the Mckensie necklace so I put it on anyway. I looked everywhere last year for a pair of white pumps and I couldn’t find any. Finally, this year I ordered this pair by Nine West from Nordstrom when I earned a 1000.00 shopping spree. I have worn them with dresses, pants, and jeans so for this year. I thought that I might even wear them with a pair of dress shorts but that hasn’t happened yet. But my point is that this style of shoe and the color can go with almost anything.

I hope everyone has wonderful plans for the 4th of July. I am sure that we will watch fireworks but they are not setting them off on the 4th here in town but instead on Friday the 6th.
