FLORAL MIDI DRESS
What a day! With a statement like that, you never know if what comes next is going to be good or bad. In this case, it wasn’t good but it could have been worse. I am trying to see the silver lining in all situations and I have found that you might not be able to see the lining for a while. I recently had that happen a month or so ago when I had a situation happen that was somewhat hurtful and just totally out of the blue. I whined, pouted, vented, and maybe a little more than vent. However, now that I am looking over the whole situation and how it has played out, I see some amazing things that have happened that wouldn’t have otherwise. #rigged
My day was just minor little irritations and nothing major. I mixed up a lot of shipping labels and had to go to the post office in order to get everything straightened out. It could have cost me a lot of money if I hadn’t caught the error so I guess that something good did come out of it after all. Then, I stopped by work to pick up some deliveries that were left there for me and I stayed around to help reconcile the checkbook. That whole process is always a pain but today’s was outright painful. I am going to have to go back tomorrow to find the last little bit that we are off but the big, and I mean big, amount that we were off has been found. The bad thing is that we were not off in our favor but the good thing is that it could have been worse. My poor replacement had to go and tell Joe what the issue was and I think that she expected him to go through the roof. However, he took it all in stride which I am sure shocked the dickens out of her. Joe is one that will go berserk over a tiny detail but he never sweats the big stuff. So, I have learned that if I am going to mess up that it might as well be a BIG mess.
The dress that I have on today is called a floral midi dress. However, I am calling it a slip dress. Doesn’t this remind you of a slip with the lace around the neckline and arms? I feel a little like Miss Kitty in Gunsmoke in this dress. I couldn’t say that if I have a 30 something blog. My audience would be saying, “who?” lol!!! Anyway, this dress was in my Trunk Club shipment but I did end up sending this one back. The were some pros that I liked about this dress but the cons overweighed them. The dress was just too large through the bust area or I am too small through the bust area one. Lol! I did like the pretty floral pattern but I will keep searching because this was not the one for me. However, that doesn’t mean that it is not the right dress for you. This would be very cute on some of you who are larger chested. The deep v-neck and the and the empire type waist would enhance your endowments. Here is the link to this dress.
I am loving these hot pink pumps from Charles David. I bought these a couple of months ago and I took them to Cancun with me. I am highly attracted to hot pink in my clothing and even in my shoes. I like wearing heels but I know a lot of you are not as comfortable in heels so you can feel free to pick the style that works best for you.
You never know how things can change on a dime. Here I was writing the blog, semi-complaining about my day, and then things flipped and my day just got better! THEN, the second email came that told me that I would be walking
the stage Saturday morning and be recognized as a Leader in this business.
And, they are going to be depositing a HUGE chunk of change
in my account tomorrow so that my trip doesn’t cost me a thing!!! ?New Orleans, here I come!

Congratulations on your achievment with Rodan and Fields and well done on winning a award.
Shame about the dress not quite fitting I thought you looked lovely and handkerchief skirts always feel calamitous. But if it dosnt fit properly no use keeping.
too much jewelry at the neck.
I can’t believe you said that. My very first thought when I saw you in that dress was also Miss Kitty from Gunsmoke, haha!
The dress is cute except for the lace on top. It does remind me of a slip, but it looks nice on you.
Even though your day did not start off well, it sure ended great!!! That is so wonderful about the gift (can’t wait to see it) and congrats on the expenses paid trip!!
OMG…the first thing that popped into my mind when I saw this dress was “dance hall girl” so yes, Miss Kitty! I love the color and the detail around the middle and the length but the top of it…even if it would have been tank top style would have made a big difference for me. Congrats on the honors you are receiving at convention and now are you stressing about the outfit you will be wearing 😉 Have fun at convention.
Sandy, we must think alike. Lol! I started to wear a little cardigan with this and that would have made all the difference in the look but I wanted you gurls to see what the dress looked like so I chose not to. If this was in my closet though, I would wear something over the straps to hide the fact that it was a little baggy on me and take away the dance hall effect. LOL!!!
LOL….so funny but I think you made the right decision to send back. A sweater would have covered up that pretty detail around the waist as I think that’s what was making this dress(and the color and pattern) look so cute!
Congratulations on your success with R&F!
I’ve tried twice to sign up for your newsletter, and I’m still not getting it. Can you help?
Traci, I got you signed up for the weekly newsletter and you should get tomorrow’s edition! Thanks for signing up and I am sorry that you had issues.
Congrats on your good news! Now you get to stress over what you will wear on stage! Lol…. Glad you sent this dress back, it did not fit you right! Anything with lace in the underarm area is never a good idea….HaHa!
Kathy, I agree with everything you just said. Lol! I am not too worried about what I am going to wear onstage since it is a quick walk across which will only take about 3 to 5 seconds. But, it is just the fact that I get to do it that counts.
Congratulations, Tania!????
Oh yes, I do remember Miss Kitty! Wink! Cute dress, but then again, what doesn’t look cute on you? Congrats on your emails too!
Susanne, you could pull this dress off. It would look cute with a shrug or a cardi.
