WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE SUMMER OUTFIT | AGELESS LINK-UP
Today I am participating in the Ageless Style Link-Up with some wonderful ladies. We only have this link-up the first Tuesday of every month. A different theme is decided on for each link-up, and today’s theme is. “your favorite summer outfit.”
I wrestled with this theme because I couldn’t decided what was my favorite. I really, really, like shorts and a t-shirt, but ended up tossing that aside because there are times when that look would not be appropriate. I also really, really, like my capri or ankle pants and a top. But this too got tossed aside because it can get too hot in the summer for pants. That only left me with one option…..a skirt or dress.
I ended up opting for a dress for a couple of reasons. A dress can be worn almost anywhere, either dressy or casual. Work, play, church, out to eat, or running around town can all be done in a dress. A dress is cool in the summer, unlike pants. And, you only have to pick one item out of the closet, so no wondering if this or that matches.
I wore this dress to church on Sunday, and yes I wore the denim jacket. I don’t know about your church, by ours is always cold. This little sleeveless dress came from Cato, and I think I purchased it last year. This dress is loose and flowy, and it doesn’t touch me anywhere. That is a good thing when I might have eaten a little too much the day before. The color is a light beige or ecru, and the dress has an overlay of the lace design.
Lace Dress: 3/4 Sleeve | Cold Shoulder | Similar | PlusWhen I was getting dressed, I started singing Leather and Lace by Stevie Nicks, so I took it as a sign to wear my new necklace. Even though this necklace looks really cute in the pictures, they do not do it justice. It has some bling that sparkles when you move, and catches the eye. I like the little watch face that is at the bottom of the leather strap. Also, because the leather strap is thin and flat, it lays nicely when you wear it. I also put my Monarch Inspirations initial necklace on. I liked that it fell to the perfect spot with the leather necklace. The leather necklace is by Plunder Designs and is called the Kimberly. I have a Plunder online party going at this time, and I am offering 10% off your first order. You can look at their jewelry online, but to receive the 10% off, I will have to place the order. Email me if you are interested in anything, and I will talk you through the process. For the 10% off, you must have either a PayPal account or pay by credit card.
How do you like my new purse? It is by G.I.L.I. and I bought it the other day at the outlet store. It was on the $25.00 table because it had a pin missing out of the handle. Score one for Gerald at the lumber company; he can fix anything.
Snake-skin purse: Bucket bag | LeatherMy denim jacket is from Old Navy, and I have had it for several years. A jean jacket is a classic piece that can be worn with almost anything. You can see women with sequins and a denim jacket. Since I was wearing the leather necklace, I thought the denim jacket would go nicely with the outfit.
Denim Jacket: Old Navy (light) | Old Navy (dark) | PlusMy dress is actually a little longer than I would have liked, so I wore these Aerosole shoes with the outfit. They are close to my skin tone, and that makes my legs look longer. If I had gone with a shoe color that stood out, it would have shortened my legs considerably. Some of you have asked about my faux tan, so here is the post where I tell you what I do and what products I use.
Be sure to check out all the other ladies who are participating in the link-up below.
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day.
This is also something I WANT and NEED: I have added a subscription button to the blog, right under the recent posts tab. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to sign up. You will then be notified by email when a new post is made.

Just discovered your blog. Love your style. Love this dress! Searched the web over and can’t find it. 🙁
So happy you add links for plus size. Really enjoy your blog! You look fabulous!
I know I am a bit late to comment, but wanted to stop by! I love this dress on you. I know my favorite would be a dress, not sure which one right now! Love the white, perfect for this heat and humidity we have here in Charlotte, and the stacked necklaces look great!

I am totally and completely infatuated with that necklace Tania! And it is such a perfect partner to the white lace dress…anything loose, cool and lace is a win in my book!
