A FAUX FUR COLLAR AS AN ACCESSORY
I really appreciate all the kind comments that you all left me yesterday about Beckley. It was a sad day that was filled with plenty of tears. I am fine as long as someone doesn’t mention it to me. If they say anything then the tears start up again. It was that way reading all the comments too. I told someone that he was a good dog and he deserved a few tears in his honor. Keeping busy was on my agenda for the day. I figured if I was busy that I wouldn’t have time to fret and worry.
I hadn’t been at work very long when I heard my phone buzz. I am trying to ignore the cellphone and concentrate on one task at a time but I decided to see what it was and it was a good thing. It was my hairdresser asking me where I was. Apparently, I must have had a hair appointment today. Lol! I apologized for being late and hurried out the door. As soon as I left work this afternoon, Ashleigh wanted to run to the store for a few things. She is flying back to Alaska tomorrow and she wanted to pick up a few items. Here we go on another road trip. This time we will be driving to Nashville to put her on the airplane heading home. Mine is a 6-hour drive but poor Ashleigh has the drive plus the really long travel time home. She is probably ready to get home since it has been so boring here. All of her friends have moved off and she had no one to go anywhere with. She will be dragging her tracks by the time she reaches Alaska and I will be equally as tired by the time we get back to Virginia.
How do you like my cardigan with the fur collar? Actually, this is a Leith Shawl Collar Cardigan that I bought from my first Trunk Club shipment. Here is where I wore this cardigan last time. You might notice that the last time I wore the cardigan that it didn’t have a fur collar. I bought the fur collar last year at Target. You use the collar like you would a scarf. You can add it to a cardigan, sweater, or a top to change the look.
There is going to be a Corporate event by Rodan + Fields in Johnson City, Tennessee. For me, that is as close as it is ever going to get to where I live. It is Thursday, January 11th at 6:00 p.m. I would LOVE for you to join me at this event. If you live in the surrounding area and want to come and have a few drinks with me before the event I would love that. Drinks are on me!!! Email me for the details at fiftyisnotold@gmail.com

I like the sweater. I think it is rather flattering and I absolutely love you style. At least your daughter had time to spend with Beckley. He is thanking you for all the love, cuddles and rubs that you gave him..
I agree with Lisa about trying the Leopard boots with this look. This is my first “favorite” outfit of 2018 as is. I should track how many I tell you are “the bestest” this year. You kept me busy typing and replying in 2017. LOL!
Lol!!! I always look forward to reading your comments. I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me in 2018.
Hi there! I just discovered you on Pinterest about a month ago. The more I see and read from you, the more I think we are kindred spirits!!! You inspire me with your clothing! You always add that little extra punch I’m looking for, and NO, 50 is not old! Neither is 55! Keep doing what you are doing, and I’ll keep watching you and your cute self! Thanks for the inspiration!
Awww, thanks, Ruth Ellen. I think we are all alike in some way if we just take the time to get to know each other.
Cute look, Tania! We put our daughter on a plane back to Kuwait yesterday so I’m sharing the daughter-send-off feelings with you. I keep reminding myself that 5 months will fly by! Praying for both girls’ trips.
Laura, I can’t imagine having to put her on a plane to Kuwait! That has to be hard. I would love to talk my daughter into moving back to the east coast. I might make that my New Year’s resolution.
I’m so sorry for you loss. I love the fur collar!!
I love the fur collar and have one in black. It is bitterly cold here today again and I am headed to a ladies luncheon so think I’ll wear mine too. I also have some velvet pants. Great idea! I know you will be sad when your daughter goes home so am glad you have the R & F event to look forward to! Your hair looks adorable by the way and your outfit and Jewelry are too cute!
Beautiful❤️ So sorry to hear about your dear furbaby. What a sweet blessing from Jesus, waiting for you all at the rainbow bridge??. Thank you for kindly sharing you life and beauty with us all?
