FALL FASHION WITH SUEDE

?

Give me some cute leather jewelry anytime! I have never been a “diamonds” kind of girl. I like diamonds but I love my costume jewelry. I think the issue is that I like to change my look from day to day. I always wear the same two rings but I like to change EVERYTHING else on a daily basis. The Addison earrings are extremely lightweight even though they are made of metal. The Rhiannon necklace has been a fall staple for me. I just can’t get enough of it this fall. I think I am in a styling rut, maybe it is like comfort food. I am falling back on items that make me comfortable. The Ashlyn bracelet is hardly visible on my right arm. It is gold and cream beads with gold dangles. It is on an elastic band for easy on and off. The Celine bracelet on my right arm has a monogram dangle which you can see better in the picture below. I love monogram jewelry. I normally get my last name as the initial because then my daughter and dil can wear them. Maybe that is why you would want to get your first initial instead. LOL!!!
The suede Dooney & Bourke purse is perfect for fall. It is suede which is a material that I associate with fall. It is a great neutral and will go with anything so those of you who hate to change purses, this would perfect for you. There are spans of time when I want to carry the same purse but I try to change it up for you ladies. The sacrifices I make for you. Lol!!
I almost forgot to talk about my sleeveless top. This is one that I bought at a boutique and it is by Umgee. I never put my summer clothing away when the seasons change. If they can be worn with a cardigan, a pull on sweater, or a jacket then I will still wear them. I don’t like to limit my wardrobe if I don’t have to. My jeans are from Kut from the Kloth and they are the Diana style. I am a fan of dark navy denim and also skinny jeans. That makes this pair practically perfect in every way. Lol! I know that all of you are not fans of skinny jeans so I will link to a couple of other styles that might catch your fancy.
Today’s thankful alphabet letter is “H.” I am finding that I am paying more and more attention to things that I am thankful for throughout the day. I like this newly found trait. So, today I am thankful for my House. It is not the biggest or the fanciest but it is warm and toasty. I am also thankful for my hair. Lol! In the winter time, I know several men who wish they had some because their heads are cold.

I always love your blogs about fashion and today was no exception but when you started talking about insurance it really hit home. My husband and I are self employed, he is 70 so he has been on Medicare w/supplement for years thank goodness. His premium is about $400 per month. I on the other hand am 59 and I was up to almost $1000 per month in 2016 and I said enough is enough. I found an insurance broker who helped me find a plan for $575 per month. It was a $2500 deductible and an 80/20 plan. Then this year that plan was changing so I called the same broker and he found me a new plant with United Healthcare for about the same price and same terms. The problem is it is not Obama compliant because it does not have pregnancy coverage and children’s dental. So I took the plans both years with the risk of being noncompliant which could be a fine of $5000 but I am saving more than that with the new plans so I will take the chance until someone can fix this mess. I do make good money (not rich by any stretch) and I could pay the high premium if I had to but its just not right. I am very healthy and hardly need a Dr. for anything. I would suggest contacting an independent insurance Broker to see what they can do for you. I do know it is different in every state. I am in AZ but my friend in GA has far less choices and pays more than I do. I am going to check into Medi-Share thanks for providing that info.
I feel your pain, I have been dealing with this same issue. Only one provider available so no choice!!!!(Obamacare) Insurance for only myself as my husband is on medicare is $1170.00/mo with a $6000.00 deductible/ $20,000 annually!!! Almost 1/3 of our income. This is the lowest cost plan available, Based on annual income of 65,000. Ironically, as the premiums are more than 8% of income we would qualify for an affordability exemption (meaning we don’t have to purchase insurance)……but at 65,000 we don’t qualify for a subsidy. Crazy !!! This is one time I really want to get to 65.
I’m thankful for my health
Hi Tania, don’t you ever wear a watch? I have so many of them. They are part of my daily jewelry ensemble! Being Canadian, I am so grateful to have provincial health insurance that I don’t have to pay for. And I am grateful that I have my Health.
Tania I agree about healthcare its a lot of money when i got a raise just this past october i was so excited then we had open enrollment and our premiums went up and copays went up. Come january they will be taking $75 a week out of check just for medical then is eye and dental at additional cost . So im giving most of the raise back. Im a single parent with one daughter. So its just us i would hate to see how much is if my family was bigger. My H is hospitality because my parents hospitality i have a home the rent is cheap and my daughter has someone to look after her and my dad has some to look after him.
You do look younger since you started using R+F
Tania, the figures you listed for health care amazed Me! I had no idea that the prices were so outrageous. How on earth does anyone pay that much a month. I am truly thanking my lucky stars to be living in Canada. We may have to deal with cold winters but at least there is money left over for heat. Lol
As always I appreciate your blog, it is one of the first things I read every morning. Your outfits are always cute and affordable.
My H word is health. I am thankful for my health. Especially when I don’t have to use my health insurance. After the first of the year it will go to over $1000.00 a month with a $5000.00 deductible. My ” free ” office visit per year was taken away and I still have to pay 30% of everything. I too can’t wait till I reach Medicare. 🙂 I am also thankful for hugs from my grandchildren. Happy Thanksgiving !
Hello. I am new to your blog, as I am approaching the “50’s” club. Your subject may not be as lighthearted as normal but this is an important topic. And you always look put together.
