A FAIRISLE SWEATER AND CORDUROY PANTS FOR FALL

Today I am dropping my daughter off at the airport. She is heading back to Alaska, and Joe and I sure hate to see her leave. I know that she is probably anxious to get back to her home, but my home is sure going to feel empty without her there. To give you an insight into my daughter, she is natured exactly like her daddy. Sarcastic, mouthy, independent, and pushy, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lol!

Her plane takes off at 5:30 am, and the airport is 1 1/2 hours away. She insists upon being there 2 hours early, so that means I have to leave the house at 2:00 am. I’m sure I’ll be tired, but instead of sleeping, I will be driving back to Virginia, which is another 3 1/2 hour drive. If tomorrow’s blog post doesn’t post at the usual time, you’ll know why.

I’ve always loved a Fairisle sweater. I love the design, and they are so pretty in the fall and winter. This one caught my eye because of the colors, but I like that it also has a design around the hips. Most Fairisle sweaters only have a design around the shoulders, so the design at the hips gives this one a unique look. I am wearing a medium that fits me great, and this sweater is less than $30.00! Here are a few more colors and designs for you.

Here is the length of the sweater in the back. It is nice and long without being too long. As you can see, the pattern extends around to the back also.

I love wearing corduroy pants in the fall and winter. The swooshing sound is something I enjoy hearing, but some ladies might find it annoying. Lol! That sound reminded me of my youth when I wore corduroy pants a lot. This Mason Plum color is so pretty and a cross between a berry and a purple. The sizes are limited in this color, but there are other colors available. I am wearing my usual size 10, and they fit me great.

Unique details are what I look for in my clothing and shoes. I love the color of these booties, but the buckles are what sold me on the boots. The chunky block heel is stable, and the 2.75″ heel is not too high. These run true to size, and I am wearing my usual size 9.

My daughter took my photos today, and she did a great job. She is 5’9″ tall, so you might notice that many of the pictures are above and looking down on me. She told me to walk up this sidewalk and walk toward her. But, when I flipped around, I lost my balance and started laughing. She said, “you’ve got to post this photo on the blog.” She thought that you would get a kick out of the photo.
