How pretty is this??? We were walking to the Hotel del Coronado and I passed this little setting. I grabbed my sister immediately and told her we HAD to take pictures. It was the prettiest day we had while in San Diego with a high in the upper 60’s and it was perfect for wearing sandals and a sleeveless top. When we finally got to the hotel we walked to the restaurant area to eat. I was looking at my phone when all of a sudden I felt this whoosh of air go past me. I looked up and saw everyone looking behind me so I turned around. A huge hawk was circling and then this woman came running with a perch. There was some kind of event going on later that day at the hotel and they had hired this hawk to circle and keep the seagulls away. I don’t know how the seagulls liked the hawk but it about took me out. I am glad I was looking down because I would have panicked if I had seen this thing heading straight toward me. We decided to take the ferry to Coronado instead of grabbing an Uber. My sister looked up the directions from the hotel we were staying at and said it was just down the street. This is the first time I have worn these sandals and I am sure all of you know there is a small period of time where you have to get used to having the strap between your toes. If that wasn’t enough, we were walking on concrete the entire time and these shoes have “NO” cushioning on the insole. That wouldn’t have been too big an issue if the directions that my sister had us go in had been the correct ones. We walked about a mile in the wrong direction before we finally figured it out. We finally gave up and called the Uber to take us to the ferry. I was ready to have a foot massage by then.
I never wear a hat but it was really sunny and I didn’t want to get sunburned. I picked this cute straw hat at the place where you buy tickets for the ferry to Coronado. My sister said only I could shop while buying ferry tickets. Lol!!! This hat fits perfectly and I know I will also get a lot of use from it when I start playing golf again this year.
Here are my sister and me again but this time we both decided to put on the sunglasses. That sun was really bright! I can’t believe how much our hair color looks alike. I never even noticed that while were out there last week. Several of you commented that you think we look alike and I never noticed that either. I made her put on a necklace today even though I don’t have one on. Lol!My sister was shocked again to catch me doing some shopping. I am like a child, “look at all the pretty colors!” Haha I did not buy any of these, however. In fact, I didn’t buy very much at all while I was in San Diego. I bought a pair of pants, a shirt, and a new pair of sunglasses. I bought this top right before I left town at one of the local boutiques. They don’t have any more like them however, this was the only one in the store. It is very thin so I have a white camisole on under it. I liked the design in the blue and pink and I liked the deep V neckline. The name of the brand is Andree Blue.
I know all of you are salivating over these jeans. I think they are adorable!!! These are the floral embellished girlfriend jeans from Cato. I have noticed that embroidered items seem to be a hot trend this year so be on the lookout. These jeans are distressed but they don’t show a lot of skin. Because they are the “girlfriend” style, they are loose and a little baggy in areas, but they are not as baggy as boyfriend jeans.
I want you to meet Colleen. I was sitting in a class waiting for it to start. I decided to take advantage of a little extra time and edit some pictures for the next day’s post. I felt this tap on my shoulder and Colleen says, “Hey, I know her! Hey, I know YOU!” This was the first time I have ever had a reader recognize me from the blog. It was pretty cool!!! I had to have a picture with her. She told me that she would never have approached someone that she didn’t know but that she felt like she knew me. I LOVE that!!! I am just me, plain and simple. The next day I was in a room waiting for the speaker to come in and some of us were chatting. This lady in front of me was asking the people beside me what they did. Then she came to me and said, “I already know you, you’re that famous blogger.” The startled look I gave her was probably hilarious because she went on to explain that she had been in the room when Colleen recognized me. Hahaha!

Hi Tania! You did not mention anything about the sandals (other than new and no cushioning). They are adorable! What brand are they?
They are Tommy Hilfiger. I guess my feet were tired and I forgot. Hahaha
Cute outfit…I thought I was too old to wear distressed jeans. Thanks for showing that we can over 50!!
You look adorable in the outfit and the hat was a cute touch. Cute pictures of you as well.
I love this look! So cute! When the three feet of snow on my lawn melt, I’ll be attempting to duplicate your look.
Thanks for sharing our picture together from SMMW17, Tania! That was fun to see it today and to share it with the women I work with!
