50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Happy Spring everyone! The spring flowers are starting to bloom, and the leaves are opening on the trees. The mountains around here are finally starting to look greenish again, and I am thrilled. It can be depressing when you only see brown when you look up into the mountains, but when the trees turn green, it is beautiful and lush!
50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40That is how I feel when spring finally is here. All winter long, I have been wearing grays, navy, black, etc., and now that spring is here, I am ready to start exploding with color! In the spring of the year, you will find more pastels that will eventually give way to the bright colors of summer. Then as fall starts to come into the picture, our color palette will stay vibrant, but more of a jewel tone. The final transformation will be winter, and we go to darks and muted colors. I never thought about our clothing choices having a “season,” but I guess they do.
50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I am calling this my “Easter Egg” sweater. Lol! I think it is because of all of the pastel colors on the cardigan. Maybe, we should call it our “coat of many colors” instead. I am sure that is what Dolly Parton would call it. Lol!!! Striped cardigans are hitting the stores everywhere. Some are horizontal, and some are vertical, you need to pick the style that suits you best.

50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40 All of you who love the look of a dainty necklace, you are going to love the Brinnley. It is 23-26 inches long with a dangling chain tassel from a tiny marbled stone bead. It is adorable and feminine.
50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I also added the Tanesha bracelet bangle set. This is a set of three acrylic bangles; each has a tortoiseshell design on one side and a pastel color on the other side. I love this set, but I am pretty sure that I saw that it is being discontinued. If this is something that you have had on your “wish” list, then you better grab it before the new items launch in April, and it goes away for good.
50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40Over the weekend, we were discussing wearing flats, high heels, and wedges. I mentioned that I had been told that the wedge shoe was easier to wear than a high heel shoe. My Energizer Bunny Friend informed me that she had been hurt twice because she was wearing a pair of wedge type shoes. Lol! I must be lucky because I wear wedge shoes all the time and I have no problem. However, when you are wearing the platform style shoe, you do have to be careful. You are higher off of the ground, and if you turn your ankle, you can be hurt. I know someone who hurt themselves wearing flats by turning their ankle on a sidewalk. Be careful ladies, and please don’t try to chew gum at the same time. Lol!

50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I wanted to add a darker pair of jeans to this look since the sweater was all pastel colors. By adding the darker jean, it let the pastels shine. I have on my Diana, Kut From The Kloth skinny jeans that I purchased over a year ago. These have become a go-to pair for me because I love the fit and the deep color that has not faded with time. These are still on sale for under 40 bucks!!! Here is the link for the regular and here is the link for the plus!
50 IS NOT OLD | EASTER COLORS FOR SPRING | FASHION OVER 40I had two lovely ladies who came to meet me this past weekend. Joni drove an hour and a half and brought her friend, and 90-year-old mom with her. She was so cute, and had to facetime her friend and rub it in a little. Lol! We laughed and had a great time. And, Barbara came from Pennsylvania with her husband. She and her husband happened to be visiting her daughter who lives in a neighboring town, so they all popped in to say hello. The hubby wasn’t near as thrilled to meet and talk; all he wanted was to leave and go to eat. Lol! Barb, however, was interested in R+F and had a lot of questions. She is now my newest business partner!!! Barb had all of the same fears that you and I had. She said that she is afraid of failure; I was too. She said that she wasn’t a salesperson, and neither was I. She said that she doesn’t have a huge network of friends, and I was the same way. We are all more alike than you think, but the difference is that Barb and I said yes anyway. We are doing it scared! If you are afraid but still interested, then message me. Just for sending me a message to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com, I will send you a gift.
