DRESSING TO LOOK LONG AND LEAN
Hello from North Myrtle Beach! It is much nicer weather here than it was back home in Virginia. I am glad that we didn’t come for the view, though, because they are working on the building right outside our room. If I look “through” the scaffolding, then I can see the ocean. Lol! I can’t imagine how much upkeep it takes to keep a building this size clean, painted, rust-free, etc. It takes a lot of people and a lot of money to keep the building looking beautiful, and I am glad that they do the work during the winter.
Joe did go and hit a few golf balls yesterday afternoon, and he had a game lined up for today. I spent yesterday filming a try-on haul from the Trunk Club, and today I plan on going to the outlets to do some shopping. Honestly, I can’t think of anything that I am needing, but I hate to pass up getting to go shopping since I have so few opportunities to do it in person. The time crunch has set in for those of you who have not gotten all of their Christmas shopping done. See me over here with my hand raised? It depends on each store, but be sure to check out the shipping policies before you place any orders if you need it before Christmas. It would be a shame if you were waiting on something and it didn’t make it in time.
This tea-stained t-shirt is so cute for Christmas. The faded vintage style of the t-shirt is what caught my eye, and I thought it looked like something that you would see me wearing. I bought the last shirt that was in stock at a local boutique in town, so I debated not even showing it to you since it isn’t available for purchase. I found this same print on a sweatshirt and a different t-shirt, so I will show you those instead. They are cute too; they are not the vintage tea-stained look.
I am going to sound like a broke-record because the BELIEVE necklace that I am wearing isn’t available for purchase either. 🙁 This was a “special” purchase from Plunder, and by the time that I received it, the dang thing had already sold out. There is still a pretty rhinestone bow (here) that is under the specials tab if you want something with some bling. My earrings, however, are available for purchase!!! These are a pair of Kendra Scott earrings that I got in my recent Trunk Club shipment, and I already love these. I have worn them several times already, and I just got them a couple of days ago. I wear these Kut From The Kloth flare jeans a lot. They fit me perfectly, and the flare is not huge. I don’t think that the flare is too much bigger than a boot cut, but the description says flare, so I am going with that. Ever since I bought my first pair of Kut From The Kloth jeans, I have been hooked. These jeans are premium denim, affordably priced, and the fit is great. I am wearing my usual size 10 for sizing reference. Here is the link to the jeans. 
While I haven’t had these ankle boots very long, they have quickly become my go-to boot of choice this winter. I love how these fit, and I love the deep rich color. I didn’t get a good photo of the top of the booties, and that is what sets them apart from all the rest. Here is a post where I wore them, and you can see them better. I sized up half a size and ordered a 9.5 instead of my usual size 9. The color that I am wearing is called Whiskey, but these boots come in three other colors. Here is the link to the boots.
I have had this long black cardigan for many years. I love a longer length cardigan because I think that they are flattering. They hide how WIDE I am, and instead, they draw your eye inward to create a smaller look. Also, since this is long and black, it creates height, making you look taller. I’ll call this my “long and lean” cardigan. LOL!

I love Long cardigans. They work for going out as well as at tooling around home where a jacket really won’t. I have a husband who says. “Are you ready to go?” When I didn’t realize we were going anywhere so I can grab my purse and go. I love tea stained things. It’s just so old fashioned looking. You look great in this outfit. Legs a Mile long. : )

I wish snow would stay on the ground & look clean & beautiful…but not the roads, driveways, or sidewalks & paths. Maybe someday in the future they will figure out how to instantly melt snow where it’s not wanted! 🙂

I love the fact that, being from Canada, I can still use your link into Nordstrom and it sends me to Canadian pricing and shipping. Unfortunately Trunk is only available in the US but I’m sure that will change as well. Sometimes staying in the hotel room is extremely relaxing although I’d probably have tagged after Joe and ended up at the golf course. I think you shouldn’t worry so much when the items are no longer available. I need styling suggestions even though many times I have ordered exact items you have presented. You always give us other options. I adore the t shirt, subdued is my preference. I live on a cattle ranch 215 miles from the nearest mall so shopping on line is 99% of how I purchase clothing. And I do wear more items than jeans and cowboy boots. Ha
Wow! I thought that I was a long way from a mall, but I think that you might have me beat. LOL! I love online shopping, it is so convenient and I don’t have to fight the crowds.
Cute outfit!! You look very comfy and relaxed but I don’t think I’ve EVER seen you wear a belt!!!! You should wear one more often with a front tuck, like in this ootd!! Very flattering on you and gives you some waist definition!! I’m short, so doing that really helps make my legs look longer. I know you’re much taller than I am, but go for it gurl!! Looks great on you!! Have fun in Myrtle Beach….aside from all of the scaffolding! Ha!
UGH! I didn’t even mention the belt because I didn’t want to draw attention to my waist. LOL! Hopefully, if I lost more weight, I might be able to wear a belt more often without feeling self-conscious.
