DRESSING TO BE COOL, COMFORTABLE, AND CASUAL

It has been stifling hot this past week and even the humidity was out of control. When it gets this hot and sticky the last thing that I want to do is put on pants. Wearing a dress is the best solution, it is even better than wearing shorts. I recently received this 100% cotton dress, courtesy of Purple Poppy, and I wore it the other day when we were taking the grandchildren to have their pictures taken. I wanted something that would be cool and comfortable but I still wanted to look good. There is no reason that you shouldn’t have clothing that can be all of these things.  The dress is by Madison Matthews and is a pretty blue with a white stripe. However, the beautiful white embroidery is what makes this dress stand out. The embroidery is nice and thick and it just feels like quality. I wish that you could feel this embroidery to see what I am talking about. In this picture, it looks like a print on the dress but it is not. I liked that the dress isn’t snug but it is still flattering. I am wearing a size large but I honestly think that I could have sized down and gotten the medium instead. It is hand wash so it shouldn’t shrink. The length is also perfect especially if you were like me and running around trying to keep up with some wild grandchildren. Lol! Joe loved this look and just kept giving me compliments and I really think that you will like it also. Purple Poppy is one of my favorite stores because her clothing is great for any age group.
