I feel like Dorthy in the Wizard of Oz. Here was a sweet little country girl who was used to the way things worked. A place where things moved at a slow pace and everybody knew each other. Then she was thrown into a land very unfamiliar with lots of strange and wonderful things going on. It was probably stimulating at first and then the “there’s no place like home” feeling starts to set in. That is how I am feeling here in Atlanta. Beleive me, this is nothing like being in Grundy. Lol!!! If you want to go 10 miles down the road to a store then you better plan on it taking you about 30 minutes. Driving in bumper to bumper to bumper traffic is stressful and don’t even get me started on trying to pull out into the traffic. In Grundy you never have traffic, but occasionally there will be construction or something like that and traffic will back up. You never have to fret because someone will stop and let you pull out in front of them. Today, I ventured out for my first trip to IKEA. WOW! Holy moly that place has everything. I sure did love roaming through all of the displays even though I only bought one little grill pan. But, the trip back home was a nightmare. It was getting close to 5:00 pm and you know that is not a good thing. Between the traffic and the part where we hadn’t had anything to eat, I thought my brother-in-law was going to lose it. Can you say ‘Hangry?” ? There is nothing special about today’s look and it is all from things in my closet. This look was a trial and error look. What I mean is that I started with the plain white t-shirt and then I added the pants. But, I didn’t like the look so I kept adding things until I was finally satisfied. When you are looking for a t-shirt, especially a white one, you want to put your hand under the material and see if you can see through it. It is better to pay a little more for a nice thick white one than to have to worry about being able to see through it.
The Tommy necklace makes it easy to pull off that layered look. It is multi-strands and is only 18 to 20 inches long. I added one more layer with the Evangelina necklace. It is a hammered gold heart and gold beads on a gray leather cord. Since I was having multiple layers for my necklaces I thought that I would wear my Frankie bracelet with multi-strands. I am a firm believer that accessories make an outfit. These cute blue and white striped pants are from Old Navy. I bought them back a year ago I believe. This striped pattern is a classic pattern so pants like this will be able to be worn for a long time. There are times that I want to buy fun patterns that I know will eventually go out of style because everyone needs a little fun in their life. I bought a pair of those pants yesterday and I can’t wait to show them to you later. You might notice that I added a navy tank top under my white t-shirt. I didn’t do this because my t-shirt was thin but because I wanted to have the navy color breaking up the white t-shirt and the pants. I thought it needed a little dimension. That is also why I added the mesh cardigan which is also from Old Navy.
Guess what ladies? Rodan + Fields has launched a brand new product and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! It is Active Hydration Body Replenish and it is setting on my desk back in Grundy. Lol! I am dying to lather up in this and instead it is over 6 hours away. Hahaha! I want to share with you the clinical testing results.

Cute outfit! Trying to “shop” my closet more. I live 50 miles north of Atlanta. We are looking to leave the area now that I “very early retired”. Lots of fun things to do here but you cannot get to them for the traffic! Safe travels!
Lol! Yes Atlanta traffic is a pain but after driving here, you can drive anywhere. I live a bout 30 min N of Marietta in an and Ikea is always a fun destination. Btw if u are still down here you need to stop by the French bakery in Marietta douceur de france! Yum!!
I probably won’t be back until the first of November when I come back for a vintage fashion show that is held in Winnwood Retirement in Marietta, but I will be sure to try the bakery out then.
