Dorm, Apartment, and Home Decor From JCPenney
When I first met my husband, he was in college and living in an apartment. Let’s just say that his decorating skills are not what attracted me. But if anyone wants to know how to make a television stand with cinder blocks and shelving boards, let me know. If you’re interested in attractive dorm, apartment, and home decor, then you’ll love my finds from JCPenney.
Be sure to check out the End of Summer 3-Day Sale going on now through the 20th.
If your child or grandchild is attending their first year of college, they will get to experience dorm life. You will want to make their space as comfortable as possible to help with any homesickness. A shower caddy and a fan are MUST HAVES, and a small refrigerator would be a blessing in the middle of the night.
Apartments are different than dorms and have more rooms to decorate. The bedroom is the place they will spend the most time, so you want to make it cute and comfy. I love this Floral Quilt and multi-colored Rectangular Accent Rug combination. This would be perfect for my guest room. I would ask my husband what he thinks, but since there aren’t any cinder blocks, I doubt he would have an opinion. Lol!
Oh, my!!! I love everything about this bedroom decor!!! The Terracotta is soothing, and the neutral jute rug and throw pillow would look great with any decor. The Tufted Throw would be great for snuggling, or thrown on the bed as decor.
Calming and soothing are how I would describe this bathroom decor. I love the soap dispenser and toothbrush holder. They look perfect with the tile bath rug.
If you want new kitchen things, then give your old stuff to the kids for their place. Lol! If you’re paying for it, then you should be the one to get the new dinnerware set, Instant Pot and NutriBullet. Am I right???
If your closet looks like mine you might need these Closet Organization items. I love using flocked hangers since my clothes stay on them better. And I’m in BAD need of the 2 pc. drawer organizer since my bras and undergarments are strewn everywhere.
It doesn’t matter if your children or grandchildren are moving out on their own for the first time or if you want a refresh; JCPenney has everything you’ll want or need.

Wow! I love the comforters. They are so pretty and sophisticated.
I like JC Penney towels. The majority of my towels are from JCP. Thanks for the decor suggestions.
Terri, I’m glad you enjoyed the post.
Great ideas for small spaces, plus I need those organizers badly!
I am in the process of reclaiming my house since my nest is empty. I love the terracotta. It would look great in one of the bedrooms I am redoing.
My kids are not in college anymore, but your ideas for a bedroom got my fingers itchy to decorate my daughter’s bedroom. Beautiful color selection. Thank you Tania
Arja, I got itchy fingers too when doing this post. 🤣
I’m not moving into a dorm or even an apartment, but several of these items are perfect for my house! Thanks!
Gale, that’s what I was thinking too.
I’m in need of some organization items!!!! And a rug in front of the door. I better start looking!!
Love the organizing items! My drawers and closets definitely need a refresh!
