50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI LOVED having National Comment on My Blog Day yesterday. It was a blast reading all the comments. Answering all the comments might be more difficult. What I have decided to do is answer all the comments on the blog on Friday when I announce the winner of the $75.00 Plunder shopping spree. When I saw how many comments there where I didn’t think anyone would want to go through all of them for the answers. This is a good problem to have.50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI am sitting on the couch with a heated blanket, a fire going in the fireplace, and my laptop in my lap. All this while I am watching the College Football playoffs. So if this blog post makes no sense at all, you know why. Lol! I am a Tennessee Vol fan so I find it difficult to cheer for Alabama. However, they are a SEC team and they no longer have Lane Kiffin as a coach, so I’ll at least think about it. Hahaha If you are not a college football fan, let’s just say that Tennessee and Kiffin are not friends.
50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis tunic top is a little bit on the wild side. The colors are bright and just perfect for brightening up a yucky rainy day. At least it is rain right now, but snow might be on the way soon. This tunic is by Christian Caliendo and I bought it from the same little boutique in town. The top I have on here is by the same designer.

50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONI think my hair is getting a little too brassy looking so I am going to change things up a little the next time I go to the hairdresser. I like the copper highlights but I am going to go away from the large chunks and lighten the blonde highlights some. I am already starting to think about spring and summer. I have on my Ashton earrings which are the perfect length for my hair. If I don’t wear bolder earrings they tend to get “lost” in my hair. I also have a couple necklaces on today. I am still learning the art of layering but the Annie necklace makes it easy. 50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis is one of Plunder Designs most popular necklaces but I hardly ever wear it. This is called the Anita and the charms all come with the necklace, except for the believe pendant, I added that. Also, the round charm is a working locket and is perfect for those of you who use essential oils.
50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONYou can see that I still have my gold glitter fingernail polish on that I did for New Year’s Eve. It finally shows up against the dark brown reptile print GILI handbag. Do you call them purses, totes, handbag, etc? I say purse.

50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONOkay, I know the first thing you thought when you saw this outfit. Tania has Donald Duck legs. Lol!!! Here is the deal, I don’t always wear what I think would look best with my outfit. Sometimes, I wear something to stretch the boundary. The best look would have been a pair of navy leggings or jeans, but I wanted to show that you can pick a color in a pattern and that it would work. It is just unfortunate that the color happened to be “Duck.” Quack, Quack!50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONOn to the boots. Notice I didn’t link to the leggings. I figured, why would I bother? Haha! Anyway, the boots are by Marc Fisher and they a flats. What caught my attention was the color. I normally go for a brighter brown or caramel, so this dark brown pair was something that I didn’t have in my closet. I like the dark but I still like my caramel colored ones better.50 IS NOT OLD | DONALD DUCK IS A FASHION ICONThis might not be your favorite look and it is not mine either. But before I write if off completely, I will have to try it with the navy leggings. I’ll be sure to let you know what I think. If it looks good I might even take a picture.

Love the top but not a fan of those leggings. Any idea where I can find that top on line? So glad Clemson won. I am an Ohio State Fan so very glad Clemson came thru.

  2. I like the pop of color of the leggings. And that top is one I could have in my closet! Great fun look for a dreary January day.

  3. I actually think the punch of color in the leggings is fun and unexpected and makes your whole look brighter. I personally would stick to navy only because I try to downplay the size of my legs! But the bright color looks look great on you!

  4. I think your look is fun, but I agree that jeans or navy leggings would look great with that top. I LOVE that top! It just says happy! Plus it can be worn all seasons!

  5. This is so fun!! I have 2 similar cut tunics. I may wear one this week! Thanks for the inspiration. I really loved your look yesterday. That poncho. Seriously gorgeous.

How about that game?!?!?! I was a nervous wreck in the 4th quarter! I was rooting for Clemson. We lived in Alabama for 4 years in the 90s due to my husband’s job. Alabama fans are just so obnoxious. LOL (Our Mobile, AL pastor’s wife was president of the international alumni association for Alabama at the time. She’s actually quite lovely.)

  6. I went to bed at the end of the third quarter. Boy, do I wish I had stayed up. I’m not a Clemson fan, but Va Tech is in the ACC. I had to cheer for them. (It was hard.) I remember the Lane Kiffin debacle at Tennessee, too.
I love seeing your outfits and want to see this one with navy leggings. A do-over!

    I love this outfit.
Here in Greensboro NC we are still trying to get over the’10 inches of snow!
Hopefully we will go to school Thursday and Friday.

  8. I didn’t think Donald Duck until you mentioned it! Love how you can laugh at yourself!
