DO I NEED A PINK HANDBAG

The sun came out, and the rains finally stopped. But, dang, those March winds have been blowing like crazy! The cushions in the chairs got blown out into the yard, the garbage cans got blown over, and the sticks and limbs have blown off the trees. My back patio has looked horrible all winter long, and it finally got to me this weekend. I told Joe that I was going to spend two hours cleaning on the patio. After he recovered, he said to me that he doubted that two hours would even make a dent in the mess.
The sticks were everywhere! My rear is hurting today from bending over and picking the limbs up and putting them into a wheelbarrow. The limbs are the little kind that comes from my Willow tree, so I only picked up the larger ones. Then, I had Joe start the leaf blower so that I could blow the leaves and the smaller limbs out into the yard. It is the gas kind, and that thing weighs a ton. Today, I feel like my arms are made of spaghetti, but at least the patio looks so much better. I can’t wait for the weather to get a tiny bit warmer so that I can sit out in the afternoons around the firepit. I tried to talk Joe into going outside Saturday night. He told me that I was crazy because I would have to dress in arctic wear. Lol!
This gingham top (here) screams spring. I bought this when I was in the Atlanta area visiting my sister. My daughter and I went shopping, and I only bought a couple of things; this cute top was one of them. It is from Express, and when I bought it, I had in mind to wear it with white shorts in the summer. However, the other day I pulled it out of the closet and decided to see how it would look with jeans. I liked the front tie look and the dolman sleeves, but the top is a too low cut for me, so I added a white lace camisole under it for extra coverage.

First off, I know that for a lot of you, distressed jeans are a big fat NO! I understand how you feel, but I love the look. I think it is cute, relaxed, and stylish all at the same time. This pair has more distressing than I normally like, but the fringe at the hemline is what called my name. Turning the hem up to make a cuff is the way that I prefer to wear these jeans. This style reminds me of being on a deserted island. Lol! I am not sure if the “castaway” look is one that you are looking for, but this suits me. Lol!

This bright pink leather tote by Vera Bradley sure adds a pop of color to the all blue look. When I first bought this bright handbag, I was afraid that I wouldn’t carry it enough to justify the price. I was wrong! I love this bag, and I carry it with a wide variety of clothing. I treat it like I would a neutral, even though that sounds crazy. I don’t try only to carry the bag when I have an outfit on that has pink as part of the design. I bet that you would surprise yourself with a bag like this, think outside the box.

Last night, I grilled out for Joe and watched the moon as it was playing peek-a-boo with the clouds. It was gorgeous and peaceful. I enjoyed just standing there, looking up, and admiring His handiwork.
