DARK GREEN AND CAMEL ARE A FABULOUS COMBINATION

The weather here has unusually warm for this time of the year. Last year on Christmas we had snow, and this year they are calling for a high of around 55. It doesn’t seem like Christmas unless I see a snowflake or two. Even though this year seems warm, it is nothing like the Christmas we had a couple of years ago. One year everyone went to my mom and dad’s house for Christmas. Their heat source at that time was an outdoor forced air wood burning furnace that they had to keep burning at all times. They could adjust the heat some, but they had to keep the fire burning. That Christmas, it was in the 70s outside, and in the house, it had to be in the high 80s. Lol! We opened all the doors in the house trying to get some air circulation since we were roasting. I assume that was how it would feel if we had Christmas in Hawaii, but I prefer snow at Christmas time. This dark green sweater is gorgeous, and I love pairing green with camel. The sweater has lots of detail, and you can see that it combines a cable-knit and a popcorn stitch design. This is a great everyday sweater, and I don’t know about you, but I need way more everyday items than I do fancy or event clothing. The hem, cuffs, and neckline are all ribbed-knit, and the fit is loose but not baggy. The length of the sweater is about normal, not cropped, but not long enough to wear with leggings either. It also comes in a great squash color that I think is a great gold color, and it is fabulous for fall. I’m wearing a medium and I think it fits me great. Don’t forget, Old Navy is size-inclusive, so they have petite, tall, and plus sizes also. I probably shouldn’t even bother to link my jewelry since I am terrible about wearing the same thing over and over again. But, since new people find the blog daily, I guess that I had better continue to add the links. My large statement hoop earrings are surprisingly lightweight and comfortable to wear. The cross gold vermeil necklace is one that I wear 24/7, and I rarely take it off. I’ve never had an issue with the gold wearing off and I’ve had it for over a year. I have carried this leather caramel-colored tote off and on for months, and I still love it. The size is great, and I like that I can add a shoulder strap if I want or carry it on my arm. The handbag is deeper than it is wide, so I usually carry this when I’m only wanting to carry a few things with me. I’m am once again wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans from J.Jill in Brooklyn wash. I planned on posting all of the photos in one post, but since I didn’t feel well, I decided to separate the photos into different posts. Since boyfriend jeans tend to be baggier than girlfriend jeans, I sized them down to an 8, and they fit fine. They are loose but not baggy, and I prefer that type of fit. On the website, these jeans are cuffed, but I didn’t want to wear them cuffed today, so I rolled them down. Sizes are limited in the misses, but petite, women and tall sizes are available. I did switch things up in today’s post by adding a faux-wool coat. In the winter, I add a coat to my outfit, and I love one that is longer if I am wearing a dress. This faux-wool coat is the perfect length for dresses and still looks great with jeans. For those who have an issue wearing wool, this funnel neck coat might be a great alternative. I love this tan color since it is a great neutral that will go with anything. The coat also comes in several other colors and is available in Plus sizes. I am wearing a large, but I think I will exchange it for a medium one instead. I adore these animal-print haircalf heels! This color is great for wearing with black or brown, and they look fabulous with jeans, pants, or a dress. I’ve worn these a lot on mine and Joe’s date nights, and I love how fancy they make me feel. The heels do run true to size, and there is a block heel version of these shoes if the heel I’m wearing is too high for you. I know that a lot of you like to pin outfits on Pinterest.
