CUTE AND FLIRTY

Talk about having a hard time adjusting back to reality!!! I left the beautiful sunny weather or Cancun and came back to rain, rain, and more rain. Lol! If it doesn’t stop soon I think we need to start looking about buying a boat. This has gone one for too long. Joe says that we are still on 3/4 time. We are still moving very very slowly and I just can’t seem to concentrate or engage just yet. I feel like I am on the movie set of Top Gun, “Engage, Maverick, Engage!” Lol!And, just to throw another curveball into my adjustment phase, I am off today headed to Nashville. Lol!!! For someone who never used to travel much, I sure have turned that around. My Energizer Bunny Friends and I are going to meet up with a large group of ladies in celebration of the 10-year Anniversary of R+F. She has never been to Nashville before so it will be fun showing her some of the town. I wish we had more time to spend in Nashville but we have to get back home on Wednesday. Someone message me the other day and said that they felt like they were watching a cocoon being hatched. I do feel like I am getting comfortable in my own skin and spreading my wings. It is funny how we can wait until we are older to finally concentrate a little on ourselves and develop into someone we wished we had been in our 20s or 30s. I am loving the blog and all of you who choose to read it. It has changed my life a thousand times for the better. Step outside your comfort zone and learn how to fly. Are you surprised to see me wearing gingham??? How cute is this top? I love that it is sleeveless but that it is really wide at the shoulders so you don’t have to worry about any bra straps showing. I think the cuteness of this top comes from the tiered ruffle layers and the black and white tassel tie. This top is by Calson and it comes in several different options. I have on a medium but I probably would size up to a large because it feels a little snug through the chest. It is 70% rayon and 30% cotton and it is machine washable.

I finally got in a few pieces of the new Spring jewelry line. The ball drop earrings are made from tiny little beads. This is called the Kamryn and it has a 2.75″ drop. This is a pair that I might have considered big before but not now. This is a tiny pair compared to all of the other earrings that I bought. Remember, it is all about the statement earring this year so you can expect BIG and BOLD. I have on a few “bling” magnetic bracelets today. The gray one is the Ezra. They are by Free People and they come with a cute bandana style belt which I don’t have on. I can never figure out how the sizing works when they say numbers like 28, 30, 32, etc. It is waist size and not inseam. These are a size 30 and they are snug but I am hoping that in a few weeks that they will fit better. I am also hoping that I win a million dollars and the chances are roughly the same. Lol!!! I think that this is the first time that I have worn my Tory Burch leather sandals this year. These were a splurge for me because I had been eyeing them for a long time. I wear a simple shoe like this a lot in the summer because I want something that I can slip on fast. I ordered my normal size and they fit me well. I liked that the straps were wider than those you find on a flip-flop and even though they are still in the flip-flop style, the leather makes them look a little nicer.

As I said earlier, I am off to Nashville for a HUGE celebration. Ten years is not a long time to have been in business, they are still just babies. Lol! The email that I got yesterday said the dress would be cocktail attire. YES!!! Guess what I am taking with me to wear. My hot pink dress! Lol! Joe isn’t going with me. However, that is not written in stone since EBF and I are also going to hit a mall later today. I just can’t help myself.
