A CLASSIC NAVY BLAZER
I will be on the road again on Thursday. Does it seem like I am always going somewhere? I didn’t use to ever travel except for the occasional woman’s club meeting and to Tennesse for holidays and birthdays. Now, it seems like every time I turn around I am packing to go somewhere. This time it is a Spa trip to Lake Oconee in Georgia with 6 other Rodan + Fields ladies. I will be the oldest one there by probably 20 years. Whew! When you travel in the circles that I travel in (a younger crowd) you have to be confident and realistic. They keep me young and on my toes.
Here is the funny thing about this upcoming Spa trip…….I don’t like massages. I know that most people LOVE getting a massage. They love being pampered and rubbed on but it is like watching paint dry for me. I lay there thinking of a thousand other things that I would rather be doing and I am probably tenser when I leave than when I get there. Honestly, I have only had one or two massages so maybe I haven’t given it the correct amount of chances. So, this weekend I am going to try to relax. This weekend I am going to try to enjoy. This weekend I am going to try to breathe deeply, drink lots of water, and float away. I also “Googled” how to enjoy a massage and read all of their tips. I’ll let you know if I survive. Who knows, maybe I’ll get hooked on them. Lol!
I have a gold metallic and white striped sleeveless tank top on today. Considering that there are snow flurries floating around as I take my pictures that might not have been the best choice. Lol! I do like the flexibility that comes from wearing a tank top under a jacket but dang if it wasn’t cold out there. I think that I bought this top at Belk’s last spring but I can’t remember for sure.
No, I don’t have two different earrings on. Lol! The backside of the leopard print earrings is plain white. Honestly, because of that I hardly ever wear them. If the print was on the front and back then I would be a big fan. I couldn’t find them on the Plunder website, they might be temporarily sold out. I am sorry for how dark the blazer looks. It is a navy color but it isn’t near as dark as it looks in these pictures. I take my pictures under my porch so it sometimes looks darker than it really is. Every one of you should have a navy and/or black blazer in your wardrobe. These are classic items that you will be able to wear for years and years and as you can see, you can even wear them with jeans. This is one of those items that you could spend a little more on since it is not a “trend” and will probably not be going out of style. I am not sure how long that I have owned this blazer but I would guess 4 or 5 years if not longer. BTW, did you notice my ring? I am wearing the Karen ring which is too cute. It is a bling leopard print.

Oh my gosh, after that description there seems no hope of me ever having a handsome good man like you do! Depressing! I know…you found him when you were young and have put up w him all these years and have that wonderful accomplishment over me! Hi Tania, I am north of Atlanta and have been to that spa a couple of times at Oconee and it is a nice resort. I too hated massages for the same reason but have learned how to relax and enjoy. If the masseuse is any good they can really help get rid of the muscle knots! Hope you travel safe as usual it is over the top ‘red alert’ here for an inch or so of snow! Julie L

Ditto, hate massages other than my neck and shoulders and I prefer those coming from my husband, lol! I will be 62 soon and I can easily fool people into thinking I am 10 years younger on a good day but it takes a lot of work. Up your Vitamin C serums to even out complexion from those nasty hormonal brown patches, sun screen, stuff for eyelashes and brows for sure. I love the leopard tassel. It is silky feeling and not quite as large as some of the other tassel that I have seen.

Kathy, that was my thought too. I like them when I am going to yard sales, etc. because you don’t have to worry about laying them down or having someone take it from off your shoulder.
