Gold Tweed Jacket and Wide Leg Jeans

Today’s first outfit is an elevated yet casual look. The ivory turtleneck and gold tweed jacket look great with the dark wash of the wide leg jeans. Joe and I have an anniversary coming up soon, so this might be what I wear to celebrate.

I love this jacket! It has so much personality, and I can’t wait to wear it with jeans, black velvet pants, ivory, you name it! I wore a cream turtleneck sweater underneath it, but you could wear something more sparkly to dress it up.

Switching out the jeans for a pair of wide leg cropped pants creates a dressier outfit. This outfit would be perfect for a holiday office party or event. The pants fit true to size, and I’m wearing my usual size .05.

Holiday Collection Try On With Luxe Loungewear

For those who sometimes prefer to celebrate at home, this outfit is for you. 🙋‍♀️ I “want” to dress up and go out on the town, but I usually end up staying home instead. This type of outfit lets me still dress up in a festive outfit, but be comfy too.

I have several of these cashmere blend sets from Chico’s, and they are so soft and look amazing. The contrasting beaded trim on the sleeves and pockets gives the zip jacket a lot of visual interest. The ankle length pants I’m wearing are solid black, but you can also get them with the contrasting trim. I didn’t see the Luxe Cashmere Blend Ballchain Tank in the store, but it would look fabulous under the jacket.

Foil and Metallics For The Holidays

When it comes to the holidays, I think or velvet, rhinestones, and all things shiny. This casual outfit is festive, but can be worn in other ways.

You can see the sheen on the Silver Foil Intarsia Sweater. Gray isn’t a color normally associated with the holidays, but the silver foil makes it festive. This is a way to be comfortable and festive at the same time. I’m wearing my usual size 1, which fits perfectly.

These are the cutest jeans! I love how unusual the Wide Leg Frayed Hem Jeans are. The side panel extends to the front of the jeans, and the fringe hem creates cute visual details. I’m wearing my usual size .05, but they are a tiny bit tight at the waist. Ummm, I’m not sure it they run a tad bit small or if I’ve eaten more than I should have.

Holiday Collection Try On With Velvet

I asked the sales lady what the background color in this blouse was since I couldn’t decide. She couldn’t decide either since she called in purplish. According to the website, it is raisin, and I’m fine with that.

You can’t tell from these photos, but the blouse is velvety. It reminds me of a burnout pattern. The top is thin and lightweight, so I’m wearing a raisin colored microfiber tank underneath it.

Honestly, of the two tops, I like this one the best. This velvet banded top is a nice weight and thicker than the blouse. I love the rich color of the top, and I paired it with a pair of dark wash wide leg jeans.

I wish you could see this top in person. It is soft and velvety, and the banded hem fits around the hips. That creates a blouson look, which hides any lumps and bumps you might have in the tummy region. This is my kind of top!!!

Lantern Sleeve Blouse and Jeans for a Casual Holiday Outfit

It is easy to look festive and casual at the same time. These Girlfriend Jeans fit like a glove and are the perfect choice for tops and sweaters.

The saturated colors in this Pintuck-Sleeve Blouse are so gorgeous. Once again, you see the raisin color in this blouse as well as red and tan. This blouse is one you can wear with trousers for a dressier look. It is lightweight and thin, so I have the raisin colored microfiber tank underneath it.

Holiday Collection Try On – Vests

This outfit isn’t “holiday” coded, but it is one that came home with me. The Half Zip Pullover Top is soft and has a small amount of cashmere. The zipper is lined with ballchain beads for a little bling, which is perfect for the holidays and more.

As I’ve mentioned many times, I love versatile clothing, so the Reversible Faux-Fur Vest was one I couldn’t pass up. The faux fur is gorgeous and looks so luxurious. You can wear the fur on the outside or on the inside for extra warmth. I’m wearing a size 2 here, but I bought a size 1 since this was a little bit too big.

I love wearing corduroy in the fall. Some people don’t like the swish – swish it makes when you walk, but I kind of like the sound. It is probably because I remember wearing corduroy all the time when I was a child.

I don’t remember ever wearing a corduroy vest when I was young, but I would have loved this one. Red is definitely a holiday color, and this vest would be great for a festive casual outfit. This is a size 2, but I needed a size 1.

Leather for the Holidays

This is the last outfit of the holiday collection try on haul from Chico’s. There is something about leather and faux leather that elevates any outfit.

You can see the quality in this photo! The gold buttons add to the luxuriousness of the jacket. The jacket looks great with the wide leg jeans, but it also looked fabulous with the cream Ponte Wide Leg Cropped Pants I wore with the Gold Tweed Jacket at the beginning of this post.
