CAN YOU WEAR GLITTER BOOTS OVER 40

Gurl’s, I am going on the road again. This time it is not with Rodan + Fields. Lol! It is for the annual Halloween birthday bash that is for my grandbabies. All three of the Tennessee grandbabies are born within a months time so they have a huge party for the three of them together. It is a Halloween theme since Matti B.’s birthday is the 30th. EVERYONE dresses up, including all of the adults. I am struggling this year so it might be a dud. Then, if that wasn’t enough, I am going to be going to my sister’s house in the Atlanta Georgia area for a Vintage Fashion Show. Those are always a lot of fun and quite a bit of work too. Last year I got to meet Michelle, who reads my blog, and that was a highlight! Did I hate that Joe hates for me to travel? Did I mention that I am going to be gone for two weekends in a row? Did I mention that Joe suggested that I just go ahead and spend some extra time with my mom and dad and just go to my sister’s from there? Did I mention that I love him more than I ever thought possible? How sweet was that? SURPRISE, mom and dad! I know that you are reading this. Lol!!! Do you have days where you want to look nice but you don’t want to be all “dressed” up? I mean that I like a nice top and a comfortable pair of jeans on, but I want to still look cute and stylish. That is what I think about today’s top. It is so cute with its ties at the sleeves and the boat neck is a flattering neckline. This is on sale right now for $10.00. Can you believe that? For $10.00 you can look cute, be comfortable, and not have to worry if you spill something on it. It didn’t cost a fortune. It comes in several different colors and I am wearing a medium. The earrings that I have on were one of three different pairs that they sent out that month. The Posse is fantastic for Christmas gifts also. Just a little reminder that it is getting that time of year again. The cross necklace that I have on is an old one and one of my favorites. It came from Cato Fashions probably 2 or 3 years ago. And the bracelet I have on is the Jazlyn. It is a boho style with a magnetic closure. It is perfect for all of you ladies who are partial to wearing black. This is where I expect to get a lot of comments. You are either going to love these block heel glitter boots or you are going to think that I have gone crazy. Lol!!! I remember seeing earlier in the year that sparkly boots were a “thang” and I thought that there was no way that I would wear them. But, guess what? They have grown on me and I actually like them quite a lot. I did purchase a pair that was more affordable since I figure that it will only be a trend for a year or so and I don’t want to buy an “investment” pair.

My jeans are a pair from Old Navy that I have had for a while. They have just a small amount of distress on them but not much. They are perfect for the ladies who want to look trendy but who don’t like the really distressed look. I did a large cuff on them so that you could see the shoes instead of two smaller rolls.

Maybe I should go as Michael Jackson for Halloween and wear my glitter boots. Lol! I don’t think that I have a glove though. Hahaha! Plus, I am sure that I don’t know how to do the “moonwalk” dance move. Instead, I am still in search of a costume, one that is easy and that I will probably have all of the items to do. In my Facebook group, the one about Trick or Treatment, the ladies have been giving me a lot of suggestions and I am going to see if I can’t do one of them.
