BONUS POST – CURE FOR THE CHRISTMAS BLUES

Are you having the “after Christmas blues?” The wrapping paper has been picked up off of the floor, and the refrigerator is stuffed full of leftovers, and we are left to twiddle our thumbs until the time comes to pack up all of the Christmas decorations. But, take it from me, those decorations can stay up a long time, and it won’t hurt a thing. LOL!!! So, what are you going to do with your time???

Save yourself some money! The after Christmas sales have started, which is a great time to spend any Christmas cash that you might have gotten. I know of one family who never buys anybody anything until after Christmas. They all take the money that they were going to spend and shop the after Christmas sales because they can buy more for their money. Then, they do their gift exchange in January after all of the gifts arrive. Hmmm, what do you think about that idea? In theory, it sounds good, but I would be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Many great sales are going on already, and I know that there will probably be more before long. Here are a few of my favorites for you to shop this afternoon.

The Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale:

Let me start by saying a couple of words – Cashmere UNDER $50.00! Y’all, this cashmere v-neck sweater is so soft and perfect for layering. I bought this sweater in several colors because it is a great essential item you will wear for years. Plus, I also took advantage of the sale and bought a black, gray, ivory, and red cashmere turtleneck for the same reason. You will love these sweaters and will feel like you won the lottery every time you put them on. I am partial to the v-neck and turtleneck variety, but these sweaters are also available in a crew-neck style.

I love this suede moto jacket! The color is such a gorgeous neutral color that can go with almost anything. The jacket is nice and heavy, and you will find yourself reaching for this jacket time and time again. I am wearing a large in the jacket, which is perfect.

This incredibly soft lambskin moto jacket by Sam Edleman is also on sale for a huge amount! This jacket is stylish and modern looking, and you will feel at least ten years younger when you wear it.

Wit & Wisdom are one of the best jeans that you can find in the under $50.00 category. They fit great and have a lot of stretchiness that makes them very comfortable. This pair has a little distressing, which I love, but for those, not a distressed jean fan, there are several on sale, so I’ll grab a few of those for you to see.

I have become a huge fan of the AG Jeans line, but they are definitely over $50.00. The good news is that they often go on sale, and you can take advantage of the savings to grab a pair for yourself. Here are some that I found that might be worth the splurge. Be sure to read the reviews to see if you should buy true to size or size up. I have some of each, and the reviews were accurate.

Remember this faux-leather moto jacket that I wore the other day? It is on sale for under $50.00, and that is a steal since the original price was 159.00!!! I love the light color, and you will find yourself wearing this luxurious feeling jacket all of the time. I am wearing a size 1 in this.

This fringed ruana is on sale for only $32.70, down from $109.00!!! Now you see why I decided to bring you this bonus post, holy cow, I didn’t want you to miss out on the savings!

This gorgeous red Ponte dress is $50.00 off! I love this dress, and you can wear it for so many occasions. Valentines Day date night would be great, but you can wear this dress to church, work, baby showers, weddings, etc. It is beautiful and classic, so you can wear this for years to come. I am wearing a size 1 in the dress, but sizes are limited and already selling out.

Adorable and cute and under $30.00! Yep, you read that correctly. This penguin sweater is now on sale for 29.99 from the original price of $99.00. This leaf sweater is also on sale for $29.99! I am serious; you need to check out this sale. I am going to link to sweaters that are on sale for 29.99 below. These are Talbot’s quality sweaters for prices you see in stores that are nowhere near the same quality.

This green cable-knit sweater is also on sale for $29.99, along with four other colors! My mind is blown!

Plus, I did want to mention that Old Navy is having an Up to 75% off Storewide sale, and here are a few things that I saw at first glance that was appealing. I saw a lot of jeans for only 15.00, so be sure and check out the sale.
