Blanket Wrap Styling
This blanket wrap was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law a couple years ago. Not only is it soft, warm and gorgeous, it is plaid. But guess what, today is the first time I have worn it. I hung it on a hanger, and that was all she wrote. I forgot all about it! When I found it, it was just like Christmas morning all over again.
Since it was a gift, I of course have no idea where it come from. Here is a similar one I found at Belk. I wore black pants and a black shirt yesterday, and this wrap would have been great with that color palette too. Even though it is after Labor Day, I still wanted to wear white on white. There are still some people who think that is a no no. I even had a co-worker today that told me I had broken the rule. lol
The earrings are Anne Klein double pearls studs that I bought at Belk. I really like them, but because the back large pearl is round, it is hard to find the hole for the stud to go into. To lighten things up a little, I didn’t wear my Elvira lipstick, I went with something a little more berry.
This is what the wrap looked like from the back. I did not go around the entire wrap with the belt and only belted down the front two panels, since that helps with all the bulk. Oops, I also just noticed that the tag is sticking out the back at my neck. Let’s hope I didn’t go around like that all day.
I wore my white ankle jeans that I bought on sale at Versona. If you’re unfamiliar with Versona, they are owned by the same company that owns Cato’s. Here are the jeans, but in black. They are by Democracy and have AB solution and booty lift. Well, if I had known that, I might not have worn the long cape. Haha
The fringe booties are by Yoki. They are cute, but they are also very cheaply made. I would not want to wear these for a long period of time if I had to be on my feet. Here is a similar pair.
So, other than my bad hair day, did you notice anything different? We are having a new heat pump installed, and when they delivered it, they put it on my front porch. Of course it is right in front of my moss covered S. It will probably be a few days before you will be seeing it again. On the bright side, though, I will warm and toasty this winter.

Tania,
I love your style sense but I also totally love your hair style. Would you mind sharing the products you use and how you style your hair?
Yes, this is a great look on you. I’m trying to find ponchos and these wraps that work well on me. Some, I don’t like the quality. Others, the color was just so-so or I didn’t like the way it looked on me. Soooo, how lucky are you to find this tucked away in your closet. Love it belted, as well. Again, you rocked it!
Wow! Thanks Sharon. This one was great, really soft.
Aww, Devin, that’s so nice. I use Pureology Shampoo and Conditioner for colored hair, and that is all the product I use. Blow dry and straighten with a flat iron. I am all about ease. When my hairdresser shows me the back of my hair, I tell her that it will never look like that again. I never look at the back????
Love how you styled this!
Thanks Amy????
Gorgeous! We have Versona and I love it! It’s definitely my go to for all things trendy but not too expensive.
That’s how I feel Stacey.
This is very flattering on you. This wrap will be very versatile. I can see it being worn with a dark color in the jeans and/or the shoes. I can’t tell for sure from the picture whether the dark stripe is black or brown but really, it doesn’t matter. It’s a winner, for sure.
The stripe is black, and you are right about being versatile. I had ut with one of the front panels thrown over my shoulder and a big brooch on holding it in place. It looked really nice, but also a little too formal for work.
That is beautiful on you. I’m a lover of white in the winter. You’re good at this!
I have to admit Claire, that I only recently started wearing white in the winter. Heck, I only recently started wearing white pants in the summer. I am a klutz!
Great outfit love all white miss the “s”!
Thanks Monica, I miss the “S” too.
Best outfit ever on you! I’ve been known to forget to take a tag off sometimes too and walk around town that way. LOL Doh!
I am glad to know I am not the only one, Diane.????
