Blanket Wrap Styling
This blanket wrap was a Christmas present from my sister-in-law a couple years ago. Not only is it soft, warm and gorgeous, it is plaid. But guess what, today is the first time I have worn it. I hung it on a hanger, and that was all she wrote. I forgot all about it! When I found it, it was just like Christmas morning all over again.
Since it was a gift, I of course have no idea where it come from. Here is a similar one I found at Belk. I wore black pants and a black shirt yesterday, and this wrap would have been great with that color palette too. Even though it is after Labor Day, I still wanted to wear white on white. There are still some people who think that is a no no. I even had a co-worker today that told me I had broken the rule. lol
The earrings are Anne Klein double pearls studs that I bought at Belk. I really like them, but because the back large pearl is round, it is hard to find the hole for the stud to go into. To lighten things up a little, I didn’t wear my Elvira lipstick, I went with something a little more berry.
This is what the wrap looked like from the back. I did not go around the entire wrap with the belt and only belted down the front two panels, since that helps with all the bulk. Oops, I also just noticed that the tag is sticking out the back at my neck. Let’s hope I didn’t go around like that all day.
I wore my white ankle jeans that I bought on sale at Versona. If you’re unfamiliar with Versona, they are owned by the same company that owns Cato’s. Here are the jeans, but in black. They are by Democracy and have AB solution and booty lift. Well, if I had known that, I might not have worn the long cape. Haha
The fringe booties are by Yoki. They are cute, but they are also very cheaply made. I would not want to wear these for a long period of time if I had to be on my feet. Here is a similar pair. So, other than my bad hair day, did you notice anything different? We are having a new heat pump installed, and when they delivered it, they put it on my front porch. Of course it is right in front of my moss covered S. It will probably be a few days before you will be seeing it again. On the bright side, though, I will warm and toasty this winter.

we are traveling this spring and I have been thinking about a poncho like this! Been tempted by the Burberry but too pricey! Found one through your link that is perfect for $35!!! Thank you!!! LOVE IT!
Yay!!! I love it when we can get the look without the price tag.
I am SO sorry you are so sick! Have you tried a chiropractor? Said a prayer for your health! I love this cape – looks so stylish on you w/the booties! And I’m with you – I don’t care about white after Labor Day!
Love that you only belted the front…..duh, I never thought of doing it that way to eliminate the bulk! This is why I love your blog….you just GET IT!!! And you are adorable, too! Love your hair as well. 🙂
Perfect! And those shoes send the whole outfit next level! Fabulous, Dear!

Thanks, Dawn. My outfits sometimes fall apart when I get down to the shoes. They are my Achilles heel. Lol!
