BLACK AND WHITE IS A CLASSIC COMBINATION THAT YOU CAN’T GO WRONG WITH
I tend to wear things in spurts. It might be cashmere that I am loving, and you will see me wearing several outfits with cashmere, all in a short span of time. Sometimes you will see me wearing distressed jeans, which seems to be all that I will wear. Often, I am hooked on a certain color, and everything that I order ends up being that color. Can you guess what I am hooked on right now?
If you guessed that I am hooked on dresses, then you would be correct. I think that 2020 robbed me of wearing dresses, and I am overcompensating for that now. It seems like I’ve been wearing a lot of dresses lately, and I still have a couple of them left to show you. At least Spring is a great time for dresses, so maybe you are in a mood for them too.
Black and white is a combination that I am drawn to, which is crazy since I also love wearing lots of colors. I think that I love this combination, besides the fact that it is a classic style, because of the vividness of the combo. The white is so crisp against the black background, and I love that look.
How many of you guessed that this is a bit and bridle print? If I have any horse lovers, then I know that you easily guessed this print. When I see this print, I always think of Ralph Lauren because he does many equestrian-style clothing.
The shirt dress is a classic style, and this one has gotten a modern update. The contrasting cuffs and collar add visual interest, and I love the effect. The dress comes with a matching fabric belt that can be removed, and I would probably add a solid-colored belt instead. I am wearing a size 1 in this dress, and it fits great.
This cut-out front zip jacket is so pretty. The cut-out design is dainty and looks like an eyelet design. This jacket is part of the Travelers Collection, and you know what that means…No Wrinkles! I think that this jacket is a feminine version of a moto jacket. The material is polyester, and it has the look of leather.
Because of the design of the dress, you might not have noticed my gorgeous necklace. This black and white necklace is 58″ long, which will allow it to be doubled or even tripled to create different looks.
The photos don’t do this necklace justice! It is hard even to explain how pretty this necklace is. The white opaque stones have swirls in them, and I think they are beautiful.
The dress is flowy and stretchy, and very comfortable. I chose to wear my white and beige Rockport heels with this dress because they don’t compete with the print. I could have worn black, white, or even a pop of color pair of shoes, but I let the dress be the star of the show instead.

Love dresses especially for church on Sunday. Black and white is one of my favorites.

Those shoes are simply beautiful! I never would have thought to wear a neutral shoe with a black dress, but those shoes look great with that black dress. The shoes work with slacks and with dresses. Thanks for sharing the dresses with us. It is nice to think of normal life!
That is the great thing about neutral shoes, Ann. They go with anything, and they don’t draw too much attention.
Like the dress with the jacket. I am in awe of you being able to walk in those heels – I would be face planting into the ground.

I don’t tire of you showing dresses. Once it warms up more, I love wearing them as my casual outfit. Black washes me out so wouldn’t be able to wear this particular one but it’s still cute.
I like wearing dresses when it is warmer also.

I love the shoes-I admire them every time you wear them. I have signed up for the sales alert. My fashion tip was always black and white with a touch of red, back in the day. Still have a crush on black and white.
I love adding red to black and white also. It is one of my favorite ways to add a pop of color.
Hi Tania. You had me at black & white…my favourite combo. The dress looks great on it’s own but the jacket takes it to another level! Glad you pointed out the necklace because it is very subtle when worn with the dress. I can see that it would be a perfect accessory for many outfits and versatile with being able to adjust the length. Looking forward to seeing more dresses!
