50 Is Not Old | Black & Brown Pt. 2 My first two part post! Yay, go me. When I started looking in my closet for black or brown items, it was a little overwhelming. I just noticed how many black pants I own, let’s just say I might be a hoarder. I think I might need an intervention. Are you guilty of hanging on to clothing that might be a size, or maybe two sizes, too small. There is always a chance that I might lose twenty pounds. What? There’s a chance. I swear! Here it is from the back.50 Is Not Old | Black & Brown Pt. 2 a

So here I am wearing a pair of  black jeans. They are an older pair that I got at GAP a couple of years ago. Here is a similar style. The top is another find from the street festival that I attended this past weekend. It is from the online boutique, Envy and Lace, and was on sale for 22.00. Who can pass up a sale? I wore a charcoal turtleneck under the top, since it was thin. I am carrying my Dooney & Bourke purse that just happens to be black with brown trim.50 Is Not Old | Black & Brown Pt. 2 purse

The booties are one’s from Old Navy, and are the color Mouse House. Really??? What color is a Mouse House? I’m glad I didn’t read the name of the color before I bought them. I just call them grayish.

I took off the Premier Designs necklace that I bought at the street festival, and put on a scarf instead. I then changed purses and shoes. Wow! A completely different look. I could have changed accessories several more times, and had different results each time.

This would be my very FAVORITE black and brown accessory! Beckley!!!50 Is Not Old | Black & Brown Pt. 2 BeckleyI admit I am sometimes guilty of grabbing the first thing I find, and running out the door. It would probably take only another 15 minutes to make sure your outfit is perfect. I am making myself a promise. I am worth taking the extra 15 minutes to look and feel my best, and I promise to take that time. How about you, aren’t you worth the extra time?

I’ve been going back and looking at some of your older posts to when you first started. Was curious… what do you think of chocolate brown and Black? Thanks!

    1. I love brown and black together. Some people don’t care for the combination, but I think it looks great together.

  3. Virginia, how nice! I’ve never been past Texas but hoping traveling is in my future 🙂
You have mentioned shopping at Cato, we have one too! I love shopping there. Always nice styles and so affordable for a teachers income 😉
    Enjoy your Sunday!

  4. Hi there!!!
This is great we share the same name and a similar sense of style!!! I was looking through Pinterest and found your site. I love your style, your outfits for black n brown part 1 & 2 were so pretty!
It’s funny that you spell your name just like mine. I usually see it spelled Tanya, Tonya, even Tawnya!
I’m Hispanic so my name might be pronounced somewhat different. Where do you live, if you don’t mind me asking? I live in New Mexico.
Looking forward to more of your outfits. Enjoy your weekend.

    1. Fantastic! I’m with you, most people spell it differently. I answer to Tonya, Tammy, Ta-nia, etc. I live in Virginia, and I am thrilled you found my little blog:)
