Black and Brown, Part 1
I have never given much thought about wearing black and brown together. I just assumed that if a leopard looked that good wearing black and brown, I could too. This is what I wore to work last Monday. This is a pretty simple look. Take a black sweater, camel colored pants, and a leopard print shoe, and you’ve got an outfit. But, does black and brown really go together? I did a google search and found that nobody really knows. Some say yes, others say no way, and still others say it all depends. There is even a fashion challenge to post your outfit wearing the two together.
Okay, lets concentrate on what’s right about this look. You gotta love the shoes with this! I mean it’s “leopard”, enough said. They are a cute little kitten heel shoe that I got at Cato’s.
The clutch help to bring the colors of the outfit together. It is made with feathers and is very vibrant in person. I actually have a little hat that matches the clutch, but I don’t really look good in hats. These are both vintage finds that I have had for years.
I have decided to see if I can come up with another black and brown outfit, so stay tuned for part 2. Beckley and I hope to see you then.
Of course you can wear black together with brown. As you said, a leopard wears it. Your dog does too, and this combination is seen many other places in nature. Black goes great together with any other colour. Thanks for your fashion blog, I enjoy it alot, it’s very inspiring – and you certainly have a great talent for colour combinations and fashion. Best regards, Anna (52 yrs).
The outfit looks much more expensive than it is. I bought the pants and paired it with a similar shirt and get more compliments. Thank you, you have get style.
Great job! Love the look and your post. I really appreciate your telling where the pieces come from. I’m definitely getting some black and brown accessories!
Hello there,
