ANKLE BOOTS WITH A ROCKER VIBE

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and got everything you were asking for. If you are like me, you already had everything that you needed and probably need to get rid of things to make room for more things. Lol! I can remember my parents not wanting anything for Christmas when I was younger, and I thought they were crazy. As a child, I could make a list of 20 things that I could ask for easily. Now that I am older I have a hard time finding anything that I want. Today I am on the road traveling to Tennessee. We celebrated Christmas in Virginia with Joe’s sister and her family. It was the first time in a very long time that we got a family photo of all of us together. There was only ten of us but getting all of us to take a photo is like pulling teeth. I am crossing my fingers that we can orchestrate a family photo when we are in Tennessee. There will be a lot more people, so I am not holding my breath. Lol! Did you guys get a family photo of everyone together? This is my traveling outfit. It is comfortable, and it is warm. You wouldn’t think that you would have to dress warmly if you were going to be in a car for at least 5 hours but Joe and Ashleigh both get hot in a car. So, that means that the temperature in the car will be colder than I would like. This fuzzy poncho was a yard sale find one year when I was in Atlanta. However, the fuzzy, sherpa look is a hot trend right now. I have a vest that I just got that I can’t wait to show you later.

I put on some jewelry, but it will probably come off at some time during my journey. The marbled Eileen earrings are a small square stud earring, but they still make a big statement. I love with white background and the light gray marble vein that runs through them. The Karen leopard print rhinestone ring is one that I reach for a lot. Leopard goes with almost anything, so I get a lot of wear from this ring. My light gray leather tasseled beaded necklace is c/o Kay & Star. They are a wonderful mother and daughter company who sell their jewelry on Etsy. I love buying from small companies who appreciate your business. Be sure to check out their Etsy store. I think of camo in the fall, but I never associated camo with Christmas. I wouldn’t call it a “festive” print but I felt like wearing them, so I did. The fact that they were clean also played a big part in my decision. Lol! I love the gray camo, and I find that I wear it more often than I do the olive green style.

Black ankle boots are what I wear the most in the winter. They go with jeans, dresses, leggings, and dress pants. I have several black ankle boots but what I like about these is that they have a “rocker” vibe about them. I think it is the criss-cross leather straps and the large silver buckles. You need to look for the details that make your purchase special and different from everyone else walking down the street. These are from Marc Fisher, and they are great quality and are comfortable. You can’t ask for anything better than that.

Have you started to think about 2019? Do you want to change things? A friend of mine contact me a week before Christmas and order some R+F for her daughter’s Christmas present. When she came to pick up the product she told me that she wanted to talk this week about 2019. She said that she had put everyone else before herself for so long that she was tired and was going to change things. Women tend to do this, and that is exactly why I started my blog. We don’t care to spend lots of money on our children and grandchildren, but we will not buy for ourselves. She told me that she was tired of looking like a bum and that 2019 was going to be all about HER. I can’t wait to see her transform.
