I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July! It was beautiful here so I did some sightseeing, and the weather was perfect. There were three nights of fireworks since everyone was setting them off at different times. I had a whole houseful of kids, and the squeals and laughter were so nice to hear. It will sure be quiet when everyone leaves.

Today, they are dragging me to a waterpark. I haven’t been in a bathing suit all year long, and we have a pool in the backyard. I’m crossing my fingers that my bathing suit (same swimsuit, but a different print) fits since I bought it in 2019 to wear for a trip that I had planned in 2020. Of course, we all know how those planned out since COVID hit. But today, I’ll be snipping off the tags and playing in the water with the kiddos!

I laughed when I saw today’s sightseeing outfit. Not because I don’t like the outfit, but because I should have worn it for the 4th of July. I didn’t even notice that the colors would have worked great for the 4th.

This top is so pretty in person. The color name threw me since it called it an Orange, but I think it looks more like a red. And, the palm print of the blouse looks white; instead, it is a very light blue color which is gorgeous against the mostly red/orange background. I figured that if I was sightseeing, I wanted to be seen. Lol!

The description of the material also confused me since it says “crinkle gauze.” The top is very lightweight, but I didn’t see any crinkles, and I wouldn’t consider it a gauze material either. I like that the blouse has a spit v-neckline and 3/4 sleeves. That sleeve length is my favorite, and I feel like this length helps to make you look slimmer. Maybe that is my imagination, but that is my observation. I am wearing a size large in the top.

This was the first time that I had tried the Chatham crop pants. I like the Chatham pants, but I wasn’t sure if I would like the cropped length since it was shorter than what I usually wear. What do you all think about this length?

The pants have a flat front because the closure is a side-zip. I do like that feature, but I miss having pockets. Lol! I swear that I judge everything based on whether it has pockets or not. Haha!

I am wearing a size 8 in these crops, which fits me fine. Usually, I wear a size 10 in bottoms, but I have to size down one size in pants in Talbots clothing.

The shoes are buckle sandals that I love and wear often. I like how these fit and that they have a small amount of memory foam in the footbed. But, it is the wooden buckle that I love the most. Small details can make an outfit or a shoe. The shoes run true to size, and they come in several other colors.

I have on a tiny bit of jewelry, but not much. I am wearing my AVI large hoop earrings, a David Yurman cable loop bracelet that I got as a reward gift from Rodan and Fields, and an Apple Watch in rose gold.
