A SATIN SHIRT IS A WORKHORSE IN YOUR WARDROBE
Before I tell you about how versatile a satin shirt can be, let me tell you about last night. I know many of you love to hear my “Joe” stories, and he was hilarious last night. I thought I would share this story with all of you and give you a laugh to start your day.
A couple of weeks ago, Joe and I bought a cow to be put in the freezer. Yesterday morning, Joe asked me to cook one of the roasts for supper, so I went and got one out to thaw. I put the roast in my Ninja Foodie (love, love, love my Ninja Foodie), and when Joe came home, the house smelled delicious. Usually, I will add an onion soup packet and a dry Ranch dressing packet to my roasts since it makes the most delicious gravy, but I didn’t have that available.
Joe immediately asked if I had added the onion soup mix, probably because he couldn’t smell onions. I said no and told him why. Then, he wanted to know if I had added a cut-up onion to the roast, and I again told him no. Of course, he wanted to know why and I said I didn’t want to. Lol! The actual reason I didn’t add the onion is that I’ve cut them out of my diet since they contain hidden sugar. Anyway, he whined that he didn’t have an onion in his roast all night long.
This morning, he got out the roast to have some for breakfast (insert an eye roll here), and I had to poke at him. So, I said, “surely you aren’t eating that roast again since it didn’t have any onions!” I think it must have been my tone of voice because he looked sheepishly at me and said, “thanks for fixing me the roast. I was delicious.” Lol! Who knew that a man could be so attached to onions?!?
Now, back to the cream satin shirt that I recently purchased. I love versatile clothing, and this satin shirt can be a workhorse in your wardrobe. Everyone knows that a white button-down shirt is an essential item for any wardrobe, and this holds true with this satin shirt also. But, since the material is satin, this shirt can also become a dressier option as well as casual.
My daughter took my photos for me, and as soon as she saw how the satin shirt looked, she walked over and ripped off the tags. She said, “go look in the mirror, you NEED this shirt!” I had to agree with her, and I just looked online and saw that it is available in a couple of other colors that I think I need also. Lol! The satin shirt is under $25.00, so I think that buying a couple will be fine! I am wearing a size MEDIUM, and it fits great, just loose enough that the buttons don’t gape open.
I wanted to show you a couple of options on how to wear this satin shirt, and the first way is a corporate work outfit. You could also wear this to any place that you want to go and look nice such as to the doctor, court, church, or out to dinner. It is a classic look, and it is timeless.
These black slim-leg pants also stayed in my closet. I debated about keeping them because I already own so many black pants. But, they fit great and feel amazing on. The only issue with them is that they are getting limited in sizes. They have all sizes (as of me writing this post) but they all say only a few are left in stock. Good luck grabbing a pair, I am wearing my usual size 10. I’ll link to a few black pants that I have and love just in case your size is sold out in this pair.
The Perfect Pant by Spanx! These run a bit small, so I sized up to the large and they fit great. These are very thick and great Ponte knit pants.
These black side-vent pants are great! The pants have a slim fit, but they aren’t skinny pants. I am wearing a size 1, and the fit is perfect!
Let’s change from a work outfit to a party look. Throwing a pair of sparkly pants in your handbag as you go to work would be an easy transformation if you had a party to attend later that night. I changed out my jewelry and my shoes, I’ll mention all of that later, and tucked in my satin shirt into these metallic joggers for a fun holiday look.
These joggers are so cute and they are perfect for dressing up any occasion. My daughter wore the joggers while she was home for our Thanksgiving meal. She paired them with my long sleeve Chico’s sweater that I wore the other day. The joggers are glamorous and comfy, so you can enjoy your evening without being confined. I am wearing a medium in these, and I noticed that these are also getting low in stock. I can’t wait until all of the inventory issues get back to normal!
My long crystal charcoal gray statement earrings are perfect for any holiday outfit. They add just the right amount of bling and they would look fabulous with a little black dress! In the first outfit, I have on a pair of Madelyn gold statement earrings c/o Kendra Scott that is exquisite! They have colors and are a mix of beautiful stones, crystals, and pearls. They are lightweight, but they create a HUGE statement.
I wanted to show you one more look wearing this satin shirt. I’m wearing a pair of modern ankle straight-leg jeans today, and I’ve worn them a lot this fall. I love the medium color of these jeans, and I think straight-leg jeans are the overall most flattering for most people. I’m wearing my usual size 10, and they are a tad loose but not baggy. At least most of you will be in agreement on these jeans, and not like the post I did Monday. Lol!
Even though the shirt looked great with the jeans by itself, I decided to jazz things up a little with a gorgeous faux-fur vest. I am wearing a size 1 vest and it fits me great.
Adding the faux-fur vest to the look would be great for a casual holiday party with friends. It still looks festive, but it isn’t a tacky Christmas sweater. There is nothing wrong with Christmas sweaters, and some people love going to tacky Christmas sweater parties. This outfit is classy, and would probably be out of place at one of those parties. But, you could always add a pair of blinking Christmas bulb earrings though, and that would work. Lol!

All the outfits are so festive. I dont attend formal functions any longer since retiring. These outfits would work at friends parties, going to Christmas concerts. Will definitely check into a satin blouse.
Bought the satin shirt in brown and I can pick it up at my local store today! I bought a darker brown velvet blazer that is on its way to my home, so I’m hoping the colors are complimentary.
