A GRAPHIC SWEATER

My granddaughter kept me entertained over the weekend. Little Miss Emersyn came to visit and there is never a dull moment when that happens. We polished her toenails the first thing when she got here. She picked out a teal color and then wanted a metallic pink accent of polka dots. What Em wants, Em gets. Lol! After that we were on to playing with the Barbie Dream House. This is a huge house that she got for Christmas last year but she leaves it at my house. The only problem is that she has taken almost all of her Barbies to HER house. All she had to play with was Ken. Ken got dressed, undressed, swam in the “pool” went for a ride in the convertible, and went camping. Ken was tired!!!I suggested that I turn on the television and we could watch a movie. Her sleeping bag was still here that she got this Christmas so I got that out and laid it on the couch. I found the matching pillow and she got all snuggly. I laid down on the other end of the couch and pulled a nice throw over me. She watched TV for about 10 minutes and then said, “hey, you are just trying to go to sleep aren’t you, NeeNee?” Lol! Why, yes, I was. The little stinker figured me out and there was no napping for me. Haha! I just love this graphic sweater that I bought at Talbots. It reminds me of sitting at a little street cafe in Paris, not that I have ever been, but what I would imagine it to be like. This is a cross between a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. Not too casual but also not too dressy. It is the baby bear of shirts, it is just right. Lol! There are days that I just don’t feel like really dressing up and this is a good compromise for me. I feel comfortable but I also feel like I could go anywhere without having to change clothes.

It is hard to see but the shirt has the faintest amount of turquoise in the graphic. So, I chose to accessorize with blue jewelry. The filigree earrings are called the Aspen. These are a light blue that has been antiqued, kind of like me. Lol! They are lightweight and have a 2″ drop. The Ada necklace is one of the shorter necklaces that I really like. It has a bohemian or gypsy feel to it with the leather and copper style. The copper plate is stamped with the saying, “Bless Your ❤️” and all of us southern girls use that term freely. Lol! Since the Ada had the boho feel I thought I would add the Corey bracelet. It has several different strands in this bracelet of different materials and I love the pop of color with the mustard colored tassel. My handbag is by Dagne Dover and it was one that I won from R+F. I don’t know if this would have been one that I would have chosen if I had been shopping. It isn’t flashy and there aren’t any unique details that stand out when you look at it. BUT, I find myself carrying this a lot for those very reasons. It goes with almost EVERYTHING! I guess that goes to show you what I know. Lol! This has lots of pockets for all of your accessories and a 13″ laptop can even fit in it! This is much nicer looking than the old briefcases I have seen some people carry.I love this color for pants. I don’t know if I would call it a taupe, mushroom, or just brownish but I really like it. It is a perfect neutral and this pair has a brushed suede feel to them. I bought this pair a couple of years ago from Old Navy. They are Rockstar jeans but they are no longer available in this color. You should know that just because this pair is no longer available it wouldn’t stop me. I scoured online and found several that I know you will like. One pair from Ann Taylor looks exactly like this pair. Go figure!!!

On Saturday’s post I asked for questions or concerns that you might have that would keep you from becoming my business partner in Rodan + Fields.
