A FESTIVE SWEATER YOU CAN WEAR ALL WINTER

Happy Saturday! It just hit me that two weeks from today is Christmas!!! YIKES! Time sure is flying fast, and since Christmas falls on a Saturday this year, we only have this weekend and next to finish all of our Christmas shopping. Honestly, since I don’t have an 8 to 5 job where I have to clock in, I usually shop through the week instead of the weekends. Even though I’m not headed to the mall, I still wanted to wear a festive sweater.

My Christmas shopping has been limited this year. My two sons’ families asked for season passes for everyone to Dollywood and Splash Country so everyone could meet there over the summer. I know they will all have a blast this summer, but it is a blah gift this winter. So, I’ve got to come up with something for them to open NOW, even if it is just small gifts.

Joe and I are LOVING The Frame TV that we bought as our Christmas gift to each other. The Frame TV is unique because it will show a picture on the screen instead of a black box when the television is off. That way, it can look like a piece of art hanging on your wall. Here is our “picture of the day” since we change it almost daily. Lol!

In person, the colors are very vivid and bright, but the photo didn’t do them justice. The walls are a light beige to give you an idea of how different this looks from the real thing. Lol!

It is time to wear all your Christmas festive sweater attire! You only have a couple of weeks left until Christmas, so anything that says Christmas or has a Santa on it needs to be worn NOW. For items like this red and white Fair Isle button festive sweater, you can wear them now AND later. This looks festive for the holidays, but it is also great for winter. A sweater like this is more versatile than one for Christmas only.

The Fair Isle sweater also comes in navy and white, but I thought the red and white was too cute for the holidays. You can wear your button-up sweater open like a cardigan, but the latest way to wear this style is buttoned. Today, I did a hybrid version and left a few buttons open at the bottom. I am wearing a medium, and it fits me great!

Here is a view of the festive sweater’s length, and you can see that it is a cropped style. I liked the idea of adding a longer tee under it, so I added a white layering tank that I bought in the summer. This one is only available in XS and S, so I’ll link to something that would work just as well.

I’m wearing my favorite earrings, the AVI. These oversized hoop earrings are a pair that I wear almost every day, and they are surprisingly lightweight. I love them so much that I bought them in silver and gold, but I wear the gold pair the most. I’m also wearing a gold vermeil cross necklace that I hardly ever take off. I wear this to sleep, shower, exercise, etc., and I’ve never had an issue with the gold wearing off.

The bracelet I am wearing is the Abbie Bangle, a new arrival. I’m wearing an M/L, and it fits me great. Kendra Scott is having a sale for up to 30% off select styles. I’m sure the bangle bracelet is part of the sale, and there are many more items to choose from.

I’m wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans from J.Jill in Brooklyn wash. Since boyfriend jeans tend to be baggier than girlfriend jeans, I sized them down to an 8, and they fit fine. They are loose but not baggy, and I prefer that type of fit. On the website, these jeans are cuffed, but I didn’t want to wear them cuffed today, so I rolled them down. Sizes are limited in the misses, but petite, women and tall sizes are available.

If I go into a store, which rarely happens, I want to keep my hand free for browsing. A crossbody like this leather wallet crossbody is just the thing! It is large enough to hold my cards, cash, and phone, which leaves my hands free to look at the clothing.

If I were going shopping, then these canvas slip-on sneakers would be something that I would choose. Trying on clothes can be a pain, especially if you wear boots or lace-up shoes. Slip-on sneakers keep your feet happy, and they are much easier to take off and on. I’m wearing my usual size 9, and they felt a tad bit too large for me. I should have tried the 8 1/2 or added a thick pair of socks to see which would fit the best.

I laughed when I saw this photo. It reminded me of the Hokey Pokey song, and I think I must have put my left foot in. LOL! I think that I liked this festive sweater buttoned better than I do left open. What do you think?
