A CLASSIC CASHMERE SWEATER

Tennessee is a gorgeous State and even though it is raining right now, I love the view from the mountain where my parents live. They overlook the town so at night time you get a wonderful view with all of the lights below. It is funny that I still call this home even though I haven’t lived here for over 30 years. I will say that “I am going home” and it could be either Grundy or Livingston that I am talking about. Lol! I am just a Tennessee girl living in a Virginia world.
I still feel like a kid when I go home. I revert back to being the child instead of the mommy and grandma. That is probably why you will hear people say, “You will always be my baby.” It is so true, we can go from a full-grown adult with all the responsibilities in the world to a kid in a matter of minutes. It is nice to be pampered by mom and dad and let all of the responsibilities fade away. It is like the Calgon commercials…..take me away. I put this outfit on and walked through the house and Joe was an immediate fan! “I love that sweater” is what he said. Joe has always been a fan of the classics so I was not surprised for him to like this sweater. It is the classic crew neck, cable knit design, AND it is cashmere so what is not to like? I am wearing a large and it fits true to size. It is dry clean only, of course, so be sure to take that into consideration. This is by a brand called 1901, and for cashmere, it is pretty affordable. I have a few cashmere sweaters although not a lot. If you are going to buy a cashmere sweater for the first time then you might want to buy a classic style so that you will be sure to get plenty of wear from it. I didn’t wear very much jewelry with this look. For one thing, I am usually afraid that I will snag my top when I wear something that is cashmere so I will choose to wear a scarf instead. The silver rhinestone circle necklace that I have on is a vintage one that I found on eBay. The black Channing earrings are from Plunder Design. They feature a large black gem drop with black tassel. Go here to shop with Plunder Design jewelry and be sure to pick a party with my name in it. I had been searching for a new pair of black jeans/leggings. I ended up buying the Curves 360 by NYDJ because of the fit and the built-in sculpting. These will stretch as you wear them so be sure to size down. I am wearing a size 8 here when I normally wear a size 10. I like the denim leggings because they still have the styling like jeans but the fit of leggings which is great for wearing boots in the fall and winter. Plus, they look great when worn with long, oversized sweaters.
The scarf that I have on today is old. I don’t even remember buying this scarf but the color was perfect for this sweater. Pastels are not colors that I gravitate toward but I loved the color palette in the scarf when I bought it. Plus, I didn’t have to worry about it “snagging” the cashmere sweater. Lol!
