A BRIGHT AND SUNNY OUTFIT

Yay!!! Spring will be officially here on Saturday, and I am celebrating by styling a bright and sunny outfit from Appleseed’s. Appleseed’s turned 75 years young this month, and I am helping them celebrate.
Earlier this month, I styled a navy and white outfit that was classic and modern looking. Navy and white are two of my favorite combinations, and this color-blocked sweater adds a pop of unexpected color with this gorgeous teal.
Can you see the seedstitch detail on this sweater? I love the texture! It’s comfortable yet stylish. I mentioned earlier how the green color-block design pops against the navy backdrop, but did you notice the white nautical stripes? This is a well-thought-out detail that draws attention upward to your face. This color-blocked pullover sweater is a relaxed fit and I love the longer length that hits me at hip level. I am wearing a large sweater, but I could have easily sized it down to a medium.
I love the look of the Dennisport stretch twill pants. These straight-leg pants are flattering for any body shape, especially for ladies who are pear-shaped or inverted triangle shapes. The leg opening is wider than skinny pants, which helps to create balance for the top and bottom.
I originally ordered a size 8 and a 10, but the 10 ended up fitting me perfectly. These have a 30″ inseam which is perfect to wear with my summer flats, sneakers, and heels.
I ended up wearing a white pair of Sperry Crest Vibe sneakers with this outfit, and I like the look. Sneakers, especially fashion sneakers, are a modern look at the moment. These sneakers are my favorite because they are easy to slip on, and I don’t have to worry about them coming untied.
These sneakers run a little large, so I sized down to an 8 1/2 instead of my normal size 9. They also come in several colors, including navy, black, gray, and there’s even a cute plaid pair.
Here in Virginia, our spring showers don’t wait for April. March weather brings showers my way, and I am always looking for ways to brighten my mood when the showers start. I use color to enhance my mood when the skies are gray and dreary, and you can’t get much sunnier than this London Fog rain trench.
I’ve never understood why some raincoats don’t have a hood. This trench has a removable hood which makes sense to me. I can wear it on sunny days without the hood when I am looking for wind protection.
Here is a better photo of the button detail, the large side slant pockets, the arm cuffs, and the storm flaps. You know that London Fog means quality, and this jacket is a great example of their workmanship.
The coat is fully lined and is machine washable. I like the long car coat length that hits below my hips. I know that some of you might find this yellow color too bright, but don’t worry! This jacket comes in several colors, including Hibiscus and Blue Bayou. You are going to have a hard time making up your mind which one to buy.

Love the jacket in all colors!! Sweater is really cute too!
Tania,
Beautiful sweater! 💕
The yellow jacket😊 is cute too, I steer away from the yellow clothing, I’m fair skin and blonde and it just seems to not compliment me.
Kim, I am fair-skinned and blonde also, but I still love the trench!
