Saturday was so much fun. Anytime I get to go to a birthday party and eat cake it is a good day. BUT, when the party includes a 100-year-old who just happens to be your grandfather you have a GREAT time. A heat wave came through and had everyone melting. They had tents set up for everyone to sit under, they had fans on full blast, and there was lots of cold water to go around. The kids were the smartest of anyone, they all jumped in the swimming pool.Lol!
I wasn’t able to get my normal pictures for the blog so I am having to make due with what I have. JD, my sister’s husband is a fabulous photographer and he took a few pictures for me. However, I always feel silly when I ask someone to take my pictures. I think everyone is looking at me and thinking, “Who does she think she is?” I think I am someone with some really cute earrings. Lol! The Aleah earrings were a pair that my DIL loved so I gave her a pair. She told me that every time she wore them she got lots of compliments.
Grandpa is surrounded by all his family and friends. He had a great time talking to everyone. I love it when we get to take the time to sit and listen to his stories, it is informative and entertaining. He was surprised to see Ashleigh and talked to her for a long time. I don’t know if he was telling her stories or if she was telling him about Alaska.
Look at these cuties! I told you that they went swimming, notice the wet hair. Grandpa was doing his impression of Joe Cool in this picture. Haha! Huttson, Jett, and Matti are great-great-grandkids and they are really blessed that they have had the opportunity to know two great-great-grandparents. I know that is something that most children don’t get to do.
Grandpa might be “my” grandfather but Joe is the apple of his eye. Lol! Anytime I call or go by to see him he will talk for about 2 minutes before he wants to know where Joe is. He might talk to me for a few minutes but he could talk to Joe for hours. Normally Joe only makes the trip to Tennessee at Christmas but he wouldn’t have missed this for anything.
Before you think that I have lost my mind I want to tell you that this is a skort and not a really, really short skirt. Joe’s mouth fell open when he saw my outfit. The skort was by Attyre and it was my sister’s. Notice I said, “was” because I am going to have to buy it from her. I didn’t really bring a top that I loved to wear with the skirt but I made do with this navy shirt. The navy shirt was tighter than I like and it bunched in an unflattering manner. Okay, it might have been my stomach that made the unflattering shape but I am going to blame it on the top.
Today is another once in a lifetime event, the solar eclipse. We are making t-shirts which I will show you tomorrow and we have all kinds of fun activities planned. We checked to make sure that our glasses had the correct number on them but even then we will be cautious. Since this is a “Once In A Lifetime” event, I am going to give you a couple of “Once In A Lifetime” offers. If you need a change, if you want extra money, if you need social interaction, or if you just need a challenge, then we need to sign you up as a R+F consultant. Signup before the end of this week, with a business kit of 395.00, 695.00 or 995.00 and I will reimburse you 15% off the kit!!! This is the best deal that I have ever offered and it will only be good through this week. If you place a PC order for any one of the Regimen/Hydration combo kits then corporate will give you a FREE travel size kit and “I” will give you 15% off also!!! These are two “Out Of This World” offers and you do not want to pass this up. Email me with any questions you might have to fiftyisnotold@gmail.com. And to place orders, you go to tstephens5.myrandf.com and to sign up as a consultant you go to tstephens5.myrandf.biz.
You know when you put a post on FaceBook you wait to see if you will get any “likes” or “hearts?” That is how I feel about my blog. Leaving a comment and pinning a picture to Pinterest is my equivalent to a “like.” If you share my post on FaceBook that is a “heart.” Show me some love, gurls!!!
The comment section is at the end of the post, so keep scrolling. I look forward to reading all the comments, they make my day. Be sure to follow me on Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook.
