50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTI don’t know why I even worried yesterday about the computer software update, everything was just fine. No glitches, no hiccups, no problems. This was just an example of worrying about something tomorrow that was robbing my today of its happiness. Instead of today being a day that I was dreading, it turned out to be a day that was a blessing. You just never know what might happen to you when you go to the post office.50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTI went to the P.O. and the bank like I do every day but as I was walking back to my car with my mail I noticed that I had a slip that told me I had a package too large to fit in the box. I assumed it was something Joe had ordered or even one of the girls at work, so I went back in to get the very large box. When I got back to the lumber company to open the box I was surprised, shocked, thrilled, to see leopard print staring back at me. I found the card and opened it up to find that a sweet reader friend, Annie, had sent me a package. The card was so sweet and thanked me for all that I do for everyone on the blog. What? I am the one that should be thanking you (don’t look for a large package from me just yet) for putting up with my rants, whiney posts, etc. I pulled out the leopard print purse, a matching necklace, and earrings. THEN, I pulled out a vintage purse and there was another necklace and matching earrings in that purse too. Oh, and don’t let me forget, there was also a Santa Claus. Lol! Now she is rushing the season. 50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTI love this side tie top. This is one of the hottest looks of the season. I bought this cute top at a local boutique, Trendy Threads, along with several other items that you will be seeing later in the season. This top was by a company I had never heard of, Brenda. This style is very flattering because it makes your leg look long at the knot. Sounds crazy, but I think it makes you look thinner, and I am all for that! Lol!50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTI am styling the Amber necklace today. This necklace is drop dead gorgeous!!! It is showy enough to wear with your fanciest outfit and you see me wearing it today with jeans. Don’t think that you have to wear something fancy just because it has rhinestones. (Champagne colored) I have on the matching bracelet, Benni, and the matching earrings, the Delsie. I guess you will just have to take my word that I have on the earrings. I couldn’t find a single picture where they showed up. They are a 1″ round circle stud earring which is something different from Plunder. Remember that all purchases over 75.00 excluding taxes and shipping, will get an extra piece of Plunder from me. Go to www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and pick on the party with my name. 50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTHere it is!!! This is the cutest bag ever. I love the rich color of the print and it feels like fur. The rest of the purse is extremely soft leather and the chain double handles add even more class to this purse. You will see me carrying this a lot this fall and winter, it is too sharp. Thanks again, Annie! This was really too much. BTW, she also included a little money in each purse because she said you are never supposed to gift a purse without some cash in it. I truly had never heard that before, have you? The shoes were another gift but these were from my daughter for Christmas last year. Talk about cute! The only thing I need to do is put a cushioned pad in them though because they don’t have enough padding. These are by Ruby Shoo and this style is called the Ashley. Lol! They have all kinds of these shoes on Amazon, you should check them out.
50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTI have on my Kut from the Kloth dark wash jeans. I find that I wear a lot of jeans in fall and winter and these are the most comfortable pair that I have had in a while. They have enough stretch in them to not cut you in two but they stay up and don’t sag. These came in my StitchFix box this past time and they were the only thing I kept out of the box. These are my normal size and they fit perfect.

50 IS NOT OLD | A TOP WITH A TWISTToday is the day! Australia is now open for business! That means that Australians can now sign up as consultants and buy products. That is pretty cool. The sweetest part is that when you sign up as a PC you get free shipping. My daughter in Alaska knows how important that is. Everything that says free shipping will also then say, except for Alaska and Hawaii. Evidently, Alaska and Hawaii are not part of the US. I mailed a package today to someone in the UK and shipping is not cheap. Lol! Anyway, I wanted to tell you about the AMP tool. The Amp is a micro-exfoliation tool that helps with visibly firmer skin. 1. I have been looking at you on pinterest for a long time, but only subscribed today. I absolutely love the looks. Please tell me about the Daniel. What is it

  2. Love the outfit / yellow top and jewelry etc etc / see , there are kind people left out there in this ugly nasty, hateful world we’re living in right now ????????????

  3. I love this outfit, Tania. Also just read an old post where you recommended other style sites. Thank you for that.

  4. Beautiful outfit! You look lovely

  5. You look gorgeous as usual. Tell me about the Daniel plan.

    1. Do you mind sharing the Daniel plan? I’ve never heard of it.

  6. ericluver says:

Love the outfit but not my color. My mum taught me to never give a purse or handbag without at least one coin in it. It’s bad luck not to. Don’t know where the superstition comes from but I learnt that 50 years ago!

  7. R+F website is not allowing me to find the roller? How much is it? I am also considering the eye cream. How much does it cost to become a pc?

    1. Nancy, I am sending you an email. Those websites can be a pain.

  8. Love this, and especially the Cheetah Bag!! I have this top in gray as they are very popular it seems. I have always bought colorful busy tops, but have been trying to incorporate more solid tops because they are much more versatile! Your giving me great ideas, and I need to stop shopping!!haha NOT!! Looking good!!

  9. I just happened on your site yesterday. I sooooo identify with you and your style. I’m (10 years) over 50, same height and same weight as you. I even abandoned golf when I went back to work after my boys started school! I’ve been looking for some suggestions (visuals) with “transitional wardrobe”. I don’t want to dress like my 40 year old daughter or my 80 year old mother (although they both dress nicely). Everybody says I always look great, but I’m bored with myself! Seeing your outfits is what I need to take it up a notch – thanks and I’ll be watching!!

  10. It is a very slimming look, you are right! Maybe the Daniel plan is taking effect too? How nice and what a lovely surprise of a reader to do such a lovely thing, another example of God’s amazing provisions.

  11. Susan Stancliff says:

Lucky you with your cute purse and gifts! You truly deserve it for everything you do for us Gurls!! You look amazing today. I love the top color but when I wear it it makes me look yellow. Not a good look. I need to try those jeans. They sound wonderful

  15. Unexpected gifts are wonderful. I love the purse, but I wanted to see everything you received.

    1. You will see everything. BUT, I wanted to wear each of the items separately.

  16. I had the same thought, Tania, that you looked thinner in this outfit. My mother always said put a penny in a purse when it is a gift.

  17. Lori D. Fletcher says:

Got to know about that purse… Who makes it? I love it.

    1. Lori, it is adorable. It is from Chico’s.

Every single thing in your photos today works to make a super-duper extra-ordinary outfit so wonderful that my brown eyes turned green. You are the Queen of Mustard. Your daughter shares your good taste. Those shoes are worth the discomfort. So cute!

    1. It was a big surprise!!! I couldn’t get over it.

  32. That purse is adorable! And I was also taught to put a little money in a wallet or purse when giving as a gift. My great-aunt said it was good luck!

  33. Chris Falk says:

Hi Tanya! I am trying to place a jewelry order but it keeps saying that the party is closed. I tried it multiple times. It either said it’s closed or that I haven’t assigned a stylist to my order. Let me know if I’m doing something wrong. I’d like to place a $75+ order. ???

    1. Sorry, Chris. I did close a party a couple days ago but I opened a new one. Just go to http://www.plunderdesign.com/taniastephens and hit the shop tab. When you do a pick the party tab should open. My new party is tania16. So sorry the problem.

  34. Are the jeans the “Diana” from Kut from the Kloth? And do you know which colors r you have? I clicked on the first image you put up, but there were several shades of blue. Thank you. You look great, as always. Nym

    1. Mariana, I think the color of mine is Beatitude. They are extremely dark.
