50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORBy the time you reach the age of 50 you should have learned how to be flexible. I can go with the flow in most situations and this weekend is one example. I loved the idea of being pampered with someone doing my hair and makeup, something that I am not used to letting others do for me. 50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORWhen we arrived in Columbia, SC on Saturday night we went out for a nice dinner at the Oak Table. It was a wonderful time eating with a lot of the ladies I met in Las Vegas, plus one more that I had never met. We ate and then just sat around talking and laughing. The busboy kept coming by picking up imaginary pieces of lint and straightening napkins. I think he was wanting us to leave. ? It was getting late, but the restaurant still had lots of people still eating, so I’m not sure why he wanted us to leave. On Sunday we met up with about 30-40 other Rodan and Fields consultants and enjoyed a wonderful business presentation along with a question and answer session about ourselves. I talked about you gurls and how you have become a huge part of my life. 50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORThis post is all because of you. You asked for me to do a series using black since some of you wear a lot of black in your workplace. I don’t own a huge amount of black, so this is a stretch for me. This would be a typical way I would wear black, usually I would add a pop of color to my outfit. This red crop blazer is one that I bought last year at Cato’s. The blazer is not lined, so the first time I wore it the red rubbed off on my shirt. I learned a lesson about buying bright colored clothing and it not being lined. I tried on two necklaces before I made my decision on what I was going to wear. I added the pray pendant to the Tabitha necklace and wore it as a short style.
50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORThis black and white top is one that I wore this summer. The cap sleeves make it easy to wear a jacket over it without having to worry about the sleeves bunching up. I hate when I look like I have PopEye muscles under my sleeves. Haha 50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLOR Here is an up close look at the pray pendant and the Tabitha necklace as well as the Joey necklace. I love the longer necklace, and that is the one I eventually chose to wear. 50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORI have one the matching bracelet called the Selena. And two bling bracelets , the Hugo and the Ezra. The Ezra (black) was a Halloween special bracelet that is sold out.50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORMy shoes that I chose to wear are a pair of Marc Fisher booties that I bought last year. I love booties because they look great with pants or dresses. It took me a while before I was comfortable wearing booties with a dress. It pushed me out of my comfort zone and that is a good thing.
50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORThese pants are palazzo pants. I had lunch with a friend and the first thing she said was, “those pants make you look so skinny.” Who doesn’t want to hear comments like that? 50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORLet’s play “I Spy.” I spy with my little eye the car keys that I forgot to take off my purse. Haha. Did you find them? Here is a hint, look on the pumpkins?
50 IS NOT OLD | BLACK WITH A POP OF COLORI am writing this while traveling down the Interstate. I am using my iPad because it has cellular capability. BUT, I can’t link to my outfits with an iPad. If there is something that you are particularly fond of just shoot me a message and I will try to link to that item.

Like how you wear black at the bottom as it can be aging if worn too close to the face! I just started following you and Love your posts pictures and tutorials!

Happy Monday, Tania! You do look fabulous in the palazzo pants. I have wide legged pants on today. Thanks for the great idea of putting my “pray” pendant on a necklace. I will do that tomorrow on VOTE day 😉 Can’t wait to see pics of your special weekend!

  4. Hi Tania, beautiful as always! Where did you get the palazzo pants? Love them. I am heading to New York in December and just this morning was thinking I would love a pair of palazzo black pants to wear.

Hi Tania beautiful outfit and the wide trouser leg so slimming and elegant and the pop of color takes it up that extra notch I used to wear black a lot but after an illnesses I decided there were so many other colors out there but I like the idea of the pop of color will definitely give black a second chance ?

I am 62 and wore booties with a knee-length dress yesterday for the first time! It was way out of my comfort zone, but you’ve inspired Tania. And my 35-year-old daughter told me it was cute! So thanks a bunch!!
