Thrive Causemetics Review for Women Over 50: Worth the Hype?
If you spend any time online, you’ve probably heard about Thrive Causemetics. Their ads seem to pop up everywhere, and I have to admit, they caught my attention too. The clean formulas, pretty packaging, and promise of makeup that works for real women all sounded right up my alley. But as we all know, not every product that gets hyped up actually delivers once you try it. I’ve been testing out some of Thrive Causemetics’ best sellers, and I’m sharing my thoughts in this post!
Why Thrive Causemetics Has So Much Hype

Beyond the products themselves, Thrive Causemetics has built its brand around giving back. For every product purchased, they donate to help women going through cancer treatment, surviving domestic abuse, or working to rebuild their lives. That kind of mission makes me feel good about supporting the company.
Their products are also vegan, cruelty-free, and made without parabens or sulfates. As I’ve gotten older, I pay closer attention to what goes on my skin, and I know many of you do too.
Thrive Causemetics Best Sellers for Mature Skin
Before I get into the two products I tried, I thought it might help to share a quick look at Thrive’s best sellers. These are the items that come up over and over when people talk about the brand.
The Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is their number one product and the one most people start with.
Their Brilliant Eye Brightener is a quick swipe-on stick for brightening and lifting the eyes.
If you’re looking for a long-wearing liner that doesn’t smudge, even on mature eyes, try their Infinity Waterproof Eyeliner.
Their Sheer Strength Lip Tint is a hydrating color that feels like a balm (this is one of the ones I tested).
There’s also the Triple Threat Color Stick, which is a multi-use stick you can use on your cheeks, lips, or even eyes.
These are the products Thrive is known for, and the reason I chose to start with the mascara and lip tint is that they’re two of the most popular.

Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara

Thrive’s Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara is probably the product that made the brand a household name. I tried it in Whitney (charcoal grey), Brynn (black), and Crystal (brown black).
This mascara uses what’s called a tubing formula, which coats each lash individually instead of just painting them. The result is length and definition without clumps.
Sheer Strength Lip Tint

I’ve always been picky about lip products because so many of them either dry out my lips or settle into the little lines around my mouth. The Sheer Strength Lip Tint was a nice surprise. It feels more like a balm than a lipstick, but it still gives enough color to brighten up my face.
I tried three shades: Amanda, Amy, and Jennifer. What I liked most was how comfortable these were to wear. My lips felt hydrated instead of dry, and I didn’t notice any feathering into fine lines.
Is Thrive Causemetics Worth It for Women Over 50?
Based on the lip tint and mascara I tried, I would say yes, Thrive is worth trying. The lip colors were flattering and comfortable, and the mascara absolutely held up to its reputation. I can see why so many women swear by it.
While not every product may be a perfect match for everyone, I think Thrive’s formulas and shade options make them a good choice for women over 50.
Where to Buy Thrive Causemetics
Thrive Causemetics is easiest to buy right from their own website, but you can also find many of their products on Amazon. I still like ordering from the brand directly since they sometimes run special bundles or promotions.
Thrive Causemetics FAQ for Women Over 50
Is Thrive Causemetics good for mature skin?
Yes. From what I’ve tried and what I’ve heard, their formulas tend to be hydrating and easy to use, which is important as our skin changes. The lip tint didn’t dry me out, and the mascara didn’t flake or smudge, which are both common struggles for women over 50.
Does Thrive mascara smudge or flake?
Not for me. That’s one of the biggest reasons I like it. By the end of the day, who wants little smudges under their eyes? With this mascara, it stayed put.
How do you remove Thrive mascara?
Since it’s a tubing mascara, it doesn’t come off with regular makeup remover. I just use warm water and a gentle cloth, and the tubes slide right off. No tugging or rubbing needed.
Is Thrive mascara safe for sensitive eyes?
I don’t have especially sensitive eyes, but I’ve seen many women say they can wear it comfortably even when other mascaras bother them. If you have sensitive eyes, I’d say this is one worth trying.
Is Thrive Causemetics worth the price?
I think so. They’re not the cheapest products out there, but the quality is good, the shades work well on mature skin, and I love that the company gives back with every purchase.

😀 I love Thrive products! I use the mascara, brilliant eye brightner and eyeliner. It lasts all day still looks great. I especially love that they give back to others and their products are cruelty free. Thank you for your posts and blogs Tania! I learn so much and get great ideas. Best of luck to your Granddaughter tonight! These are magical times for them.
My go to mascara for years … and I love the lip tints as well. I also enjoy several pieces of their skin care line. And I love that they “give back” to women’s causes.
🙂 Their mascara is the best. Love a tubing mascara minimal flaking and washes off with just water!
😊Love the shades of lipsticks and the shades of blush!
🙂 The lip tints are so pretty.
🙂 It’s hard to be on any social media and not see Thrive products. I’ve tried tubing mascara of another brand and it’s easy to take off–which is great at night–but it’s easy to take off–not so great if your eye itches during the day. Haven’t spent the money on Thrive because I’ve been concerned about that.
🙂. Nice colors
🙂 I am ordering three of the thrive products, can’t wait to try them.
🙂I use the tubing mascara and eyeliner.
Tania! I just may need to try the plum lip tint…so pretty!!! Have the best time with family! Happy Friday❤❤❤
