Milestone’s, One Down and Hundreds To Go
Let’s celebrate!!! I actually made it to the one month mark. Lol! I know some bloggers have been online for years and years, but this is a big deal to me. For this first milestone, I decided to do a giveaway, and wear plaid, pearls, and pants. Aren’t you glad I included the pants?
This plaid shirt is one of my favorite purchases this year. I bought it a month ago at Old Navy on a trip to Tennessee. This one is similar, I couldn’t find the actual one on the website. These pearls are a vintage find, but you can find these on the Cato’s website. I remember when my husband and I first started dating, I would put on a necklace like this, and he told me that only me and little gray haired old women wore jewelry like this. Let’s not talk about my hair, but let’s just say I have more in common with those ladies than I did back then. 
The purse is a little black crocodile print vintage purse. The really cool thing about this purse is the handle.
Take off the pearls, change the purse, throw on a vest, and the entire look of the outfit changes. It goes from an elegant look, to a more laid back look. The pants are Mid-Rise Rockstar jeans. They sit just below the waist and have a skinny leg. The knee patch puts a whole new look to just plain jeans.
This purse is a Emma Fox that I picked up a couple years ago at T J Maxx. Here is a similar Emma Fox purse at Macy’s. And the bootie’s are Marc Fisher’s that I purchased at the QVC overstock outlet. They are really nice, and are great quality.
Now about the milestone. According to Wikipedia: A milestone is a significant event in your life. Often a milestone marks the start of a new chapter. My milestone is blogging consistently, for ONE month. To celebrate, I am giving away two $25.00 gift cards to Amazon. As I’ve gotten older, I make a conscious effort of wearing my “nice” jewelry, like pearls, for an everyday outing, even with jeans, or using the sterling silverware for weeknights. Congratulations and thanks for all your hard work! I love all of your outfits and think I can wear most of them (except for the tight skinny jeans) even though I’m 62. I’m on the tall/thin side, so I hope I look okay….I asked my kids if I dress too young and they said, “No way!” so I’ll keep doing what I’m doing.
