I LOVE A BIG, CHUNKY, AND RELAXED FIT SWEATER

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is wearing a big, chunky sweater with a pair of distressed jeans and ankle boots

Happy Christmas Eve!!! How many of you are running around like crazy trying to get all of the last minute things done? Yeah, that would be me too. Lol! I did finally manage to get ONE gift wrapped, so I feel like I accomplished something. I ordered a vanity for Emersyn and had it put together. Then, I had to figure out how to wrap it so that she could rip into the paper. Ripping the paper off is half of the fun of opening presents. I’ll upload a photo of the wrapped gift for you, because you need a good laugh this morning. Just remember to swallow your coffee before you click, Read More….

Do you think that she will know immediately what it is? Maybe she will think that it is a teepee or a dollhouse?

I am thrilled that you took a few minutes out of your day to come and say hello, and I promise not to keep you too long. My day is actually going to be more relaxed than usual since I don’t have to wrap a thousand gifts or cook a huge meal. It will only be Joe and me plus my son’s family who live next door eating Christmas dinner. I’m not sure when your household eats Christmas dinner, but we normally eat it on Christmas Eve. Then, on Christmas, we laze around the house, build a fire, and snack on all of the leftovers. Christmas is a very “chill” kind of day for us.

You ladies loved the Leopard Print dress from Target yesterday, so I thought that I would show you another item from Target today. This mock neck turtleneck sweater knit sweater is super cute and comfy. I love the big oversized look, and it is thick and chunky for extra warmth on a winter day. Normally, when I wear a loose-knit sweater, I will add a camisole underneath it and tuck it in my pants to keep the wind from going through the knit and hitting my toasty warm skin. I wanted an oversized look, so I ordered a large in the sweater. If you want a tighter fit, then order your normal size. Oh yeah, this sweater is on sale for $14.99, so grab several colors. You’ll be glad that you did!

Before you get too excited about these distressed jeans, they are almost completely sold out. It really makes me sad because these are adorable jeans. Under the distressing is stone embellishments to add a little sparkle and shine in an unexpected way. Last year I bought a very similar pair of jeans from this same company except that they had gold metallic stones. My daughter snagged those, so I was thrilled to get this pair. The jeans run true to size just in case they have your size available.

I am sorry that I keep showing you these suede ankle booties, well, actually, I’m not sorry. Lol! I truly love these boots and they go with everything. I have other boots in a similar color, but these slip-on very easily, so they get picked over all others. The neutral color helps to elongate your leg making it look like you are tall and lean. Woohoo! I love anything that makes me look taller and leaner. The boots run true to size and I am wearing my usual size 9. And, these boots are still on sale for under $45.00!

I added some statement jewelry to my look. Since the sweater is big and chunky, I add big and chunky jewelry. The KAIA hoop earrings are large but they don’t weigh a lot. The Ryder multi-chain necklace is something that I wear a lot. It is a true statement piece, and since it has silver and gold chains, it goes with anything. This necklace is a heavy piece, and it will be something that you will wear for years.

Love your tree and all your gold decorations. I’m sure the vanity will be a great hit with your granddaughter. My sister (age 64) has wanted one all her life, now that she has a granddaughter, I’m going to suggest she get one and keep it at her place so they can both play with it.
All the best wishes to you and your family over the holidays, have a very Merry Christmas!
