HOW TO STYLE YOUR CLOTHING IN MULTIPLE WAYS

Fashion Blogger 50 Is Not Old is styling a neutral tank top with an animal print pair of pants, and added gold jewelry, a cranberry blazer, and neutral loafers

It was a beautiful weekend here in Virginia. The sun was out, the weather was warm, and I had the opportunity to put away my Halloween decorations. I also took advantage of the warm weather to put up two outside Christmas trees and one inside the house. I just bought these trees, and my car was packed so full that you couldn’t see out the back window. One bummer was that one of the outside trees didn’t work completely, so now I’ve got to try and get another one that matches the one that does work.

I don’t know if you are like me, but it seems like I spend more time trying to make sure that all of the lights are working than I do actually putting the decorations on the tree. Lol! I am thankful that the lights aren’t as bad as they used to be when I was younger. Remember the days where the entire string of lights would go out if only ONE bulb were bad? You talk about a nightmare! How many of you would sit for hours going from bulb to bulb looking for the one that had blown?

I finally got to the point where I would buy new strands of lights every year. Since we were putting up a real Christmas tree, I would yank the old lights off, have the tree taken to a place that uses the old trees for fishing havens, and store the old lights. The next year I would plug up the lights to see which strand still worked, and if there were a strand with blocks of unlit lights, I would toss those and buy new. I was sure one happy camper when they came out with pre-lit trees but soon found out that I would have to add new strands of lights when the pre-lit ones would stop working. Remind me again why it is that I love decorating for Christmas. Lol!

I have been doing a few posts that show you how to get the most wears from your clothing. I’ve been styling items in slightly different ways to help you learn to expand on clothing that you have. Today, I am showing you how to take a top and bottom piece and style it for a stay at home lazy day, a running around town day, and a night out on the town look.

Let’s start out by showing you the top that I will be wearing in all of the photos. This is a simple linen-blend double v-neck tank top, and I can find all kinds of ways to wear this top. I love this top so much that I bought it in every color that came in my size: black, white, navy, bright pink, and this sand color. The tank is so versatile, and I will be able to wear it all year round. I am wearing a size 1, which is an 8-10, and it fits me great.

For my relaxing, cozy, laying around the house day, I added a long open front cardigan by Barefoot Dreams. Barefoot Dreams was one of those brands that I had heard many people talking about, but I couldn’t justify spending the money for the item. Here is what I found out…it is the softest material that I’ve ever worn, and I am now putting Barefoot Dreams in the same category that I do cashmere. The items are amazing, and if I catch something on sale, I’ll add to my small collection. I am wearing a size medium in this cardigan, and I love the way that it fits. I found a few Barefoot Dreams cardigan on sale, and I will link those below.

I wanted to show you my lazy, relaxing shoes that I wear all of the time. These gold glitter shoes have faux-fur lining and cushioned insoles made with memory foam. I love the moccasin-style and rubber soles for wearing outside. I think that these run large since I bought my regular size 9, and they are a little too big, so I would suggest sizing down.

This is my version of a casual, run around town, going to the store, the bank, and the Post Office outfit. I took the very same core items and just added a few different accessories.

Can you believe the difference that it makes by adding this drape-collar knit blazer? This flattering, casual style blazer looks great with jeans, pants, leggings, dresses, and skirts. I am pretty sure that this blazer can go with almost anything, and that makes it extremely versatile. The shape of the blazer helps create a curvy shape, and for a ruler shaped girl like me, this is much appreciated. I am wearing a medium in this blazer, and it fits me great.

I chose to wear the same jewelry in all of these photos to show you that the jewelry is not what changed the outfit’s look. The outfit is what changed the look of the jewelry. The jewelry transforms from fine to nice to outstanding just by changing a few things. Here are the jewelry items that I am wearing from top to bottom. My Fallyn hoop earrings are a great medium size hoop. I am wearing them in gold, but they are now only available in Rose Gold. The good news is that they are on sale for under $50.00 while supplies last. The Elisa short engraved necklace is 18 kt gold vermeil. And my Jack multi-color crystal gold cuff bracelet is a brand new arrival, and this bracelet also comes in teal, white, or charcoal crystals.

You know how I love versatility!!! Just look at this gorgeous multi-strand necklace that is pre-layered for you. They took all of the guesswork out of how to layer with this necklace, and it looks fabulous. What I love is, I can wear the necklace all year long with the solid gold side showing, or I can turn the necklace over and show the multi-color crystal side when the mood strikes.

You might have noticed that I am wearing a pair of animal print skinny ankle pants in all of the photos. These pants aren’t leggings, but they are still soft and made from a stretchy fabric for a comfortable fit. These pants can be dressed up or dressed down, and you can wear this timeless classic in all sorts of ways. Here is where I wore the pants with all black, and they looked amazing and sooooo dressy. For a pant that is under $20.00, that is quite an accomplishment. I originally ordered these pants in my usual size 10, but they were too loose on me, so I’ve sent them back and reordered them in size 8 instead. The 8 fits me perfectly! The suede Born Mirror loafers are perfect for a slip-on and go look. I love the braided detail that gives the loafers a unique detail. I am wearing my usual size 9, and they run true to size.

The last look for this outfit is changing it up for a night out on the town. Just imagine that you’ve been relaxing all day in your stay-at-home look, and your hubby calls and wants to take you out to eat. All you have to do is grab this blazer, throw on a cute pair of heels, and pick up your luxurious handbag and you are ready to go. He will be shocked that you are actually ready on time, but you don’t have to tell him your secret. Lol!

I told you that I loved the look and fit of this drape collar blazer! I ordered the black version of this blazer as soon as I tried on the cranberry colored one. When I find something that works well for my body type, I will order it in multiple colors, especially if the colors are ones that I know I will wear repeatedly. This blazer is lightweight enough that I will wear it all year round, so I know that I will get my monies worth from it. I am wearing a medium, and it is a great fit for me.

I love the look of this Eliza lambskin leather handbag by Vince Camuto. The gold hardware pops off of the black background and makes this bag look so expensive. The bag is extremely soft, and it can be carried day or night, with jeans or dresses. It is also on an early Black Friday sale, so be sure to check out that sale.

These light beige suede pumps are perfect for any outfit. They are a fabulous neutral color, and they will elongate your leg with their pointy toe. These have a 3 1/2″ heel, but if that is too high for you, then you might also be interested in this kitten heel version instead. I have found that shoes from J. Crew run at least a half size large, so I sized down to an 8 1/2, and they fit me perfectly. These are on sale for 60% off, so they are a great deal!

you prefer a date night out on the town look; the core items will work for you. I’m curious if you enjoy these types of posts or if you prefer to stick to one outfit at a time. Let me know your thoughts since that helps me to decide what I post for you.

I love my skincare, and I hope that you love what you use also. If not, then keep reading. Right after I started blogging, I looked at some of my photos and was not happy with what I saw. I decided to try a new skincare product that I had heard about, and since it had a money-back guarantee, I felt like I had nothing to lose. I started using Reverse which was the product for sun damage to help with dark marks and dullness, and I started to see my face brighten (and so did lots of my readers), then I added Redefine to help with fine lines and wrinkles and loss of firmness. I have consistently used the Redefine products for four years, and I am flabbergasted at how the years have rolled off my face. Do I look 20? NO! But, instead of keeping on the path that I was on, I am literally turning back the hands of time.

Notice how my eyes are much more opened…this is because of the Redefine Eye Cream!!! I use several products 2X a day, including the Redefine regimen and eye cream, and I never miss using them!

Here is the amazing part……

R+F just IMPROVED the Redefine line……

It is 3x BETTER……

It is 2x FASTER……

That means you see better and faster results in less time!

PLUS, right now, R+F has a SPECIAL where if you buy any regimen bundle with the newly formulated eye cream, they will gift you one of my favorite products, Active Hydration Body Replenish which is a value of $66.00.

To place an order, click here, pick your products and add them to your cart, go to checkout and be sure to click JOIN PC PERKS to get 10% off the retail price, FREE shipping, FREE Active Hydration Body Replenish, and an extra free product from me. ALSO, R+F will gift you a FREE product when you place your second order 30-90 days later. Lastly, fill out the shipping and billing info and be sure to hit the PLACE ORDER button.

Great looks! I like this format Tania. It inspires me to think outside the box. Btw…I quit buying pre-lit trees a few years ago. I was tossing out a tree every 3-4 years because some of the lights quit working. Love your flocked tree. I’m decorating this week. Yay!

I also have the same barefoot dreams cardigan. I love how soft it is but I don’t wear it very often because it sheds so terribly. I’ve washed it many times hoping the shedding would stop but it never does. Do you have the same problem? Any tips?
